Hi Stanley We are actually called the ferryboat Inn, I have spoken to the staff on evening of your visit to see what actually happened here, apparently the cat that lives upstairs did enter the property through the front door but as usual walked through as he does, he is usually removed and put back at the stairs, he has never walked on a table but does go to people if called over. The Staff member did understand why but was a bit distressed by the way she was spoken to and her arm being grabbed. I must point out as per the food safety regulations he is never allowed in the pubs kitchen or anywhere food is prepared or stored. I am well aware of food and hygiene rules as we have 5 stars on the door from the FSA and a very high scores with a company called NSF who are an external company who check our kitchen's every 6 months. We are a Dog friendly pub and a large selection of dogs walk through our pub at all times as we also have a few regular dog clubs that use us so unfortunately animal fur is present throughout the day especially in the bar areas where they are allowed. I asked the staff if anyone had had an allergy attack as if this was the case a duty first aider would of been required and the necessary report forms filled out by the duty manager and staff who served you were not aware of anything. However I do apologise for your issues but again emphasise we do not have any pest issues in our premises and do not allow animals in our kitchen, any prep areas or the cellar. If you wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate and give me a call kind regards Edwina General manager.
