We came here on a fairly quiet Saturday evening for an anniversary meal, and as we have come to expect from this lovely restaurant the food was perfect. In fact the portions sizes are so generous we managed only a main course each with a...side order. The mushroom and asparagus risotto from among the vegetarian options was delicious, and the rosemary potatoes also highly recommended. Service was friendly and efficient. Tables were spaced well apart but without the place losing its usual cheerful atmosphere.More

We have been meaning to go for some time, but never got round to it. The food was fresh hot and tasty, the service was good even though the restaurant was busy, Chairs were more comfortable than we thought and definitely happy to book again

We ate here and had good food and good service. But the covid precautions are patchy. On the plus side we were asked for name and contact number when we booked, the table was clean and clear, the tables were well spaced, and I witnessed...a waitress wiping down the menus which had been used. There was an automatic dispenser of hand sanitiser by the door. On the down side, none of the staff wore face coverings of any description, the staff seemed to make no effort at social distancing - they stood with shoulders touching when comparing their orders, and when turning people away as they were closing, they stood facing them and about 1m away. There are half a dozen tables outside at which they bizarrely don't serve food. This meant that for the entire time that we all dined inside, the outside tables were all empty - so the covid safest place was unused! This contrasted notably with the two restaurants opposite where the outdoor tables were full with people eating, and being served by staff with face coverings. The people at the table next to us left just after we arrived and their table was cleared, but had not been cleaned when we left an hour later. Come on - you can do better than this!More

Have thought about trying this restaurant for a while but the high prices have always put me off. The 50% off scheme seemed like the perfect reason to give the restaurant a try. Menu is condensed and expensive. Drinks menu doesn’t get any better £3...odd for a pint of coke!? However we ordered staff were charming although completely rushed off their feed. Understaffed which meant long waits for everything. Not there fault at all! Food came both pasta dishes disappointing, squid rings soggy batter and chewy. Battered prawns I couldn’t fault and the kids pizza was delish! The icing on the cake was a black hair in my pasta, It can’t be my own as I am bald. The poor chap who I showed was mortified. Mistakes happen so I didn’t want them to do anything about it. I wasn’t expecting added extras is all 😂 Probably wouldn’t return. Nice to try I suppose.More

Visited with family. Excellent food, nice atmosphere despite fewer tables, really good service and felt safe. Especially loved the chocolate and almond pudding which was delicious. Will definitely go again.

Visited with friends and their 12 year old son Jack. The staff were very welcoming and pleasant especially our waitress Ellie. We ordered two of the speciality dishes the Tomahawk Steak and the Lobster Linguine. Both the men said the steak was the best that they...had ever had and the lobster was wonderful. Jack had the garlic pizza bread and also one of the pizza's which was so good he took what was left home to eat for breakfast. If you like Italian food try here.More

My wife and I had the opportunity to have a meal on Valentine's Day. The staff greeted us warmly and had us seated without any delay. The menu was interesting and we chose starters and main course. Our selected bottle of wine arrived so we...were able to enjoy a glas whilst waiting for our meals. These arrived quite quickly and was superb. After the meal we enjoyed Irish coffees, seated on comfortable sofas whilst a lovely young lady serenaded us and it transpired she was someone whom we had not seen for some years, so a lovely surprise. A lovely evening with attentive, friendly staff to accompany good food and wine.More

Good afternoon, please accept our apologies, we had changed our opening times and didn't promptly update our TA page. We've just corrected this. Once again, sorry about that and thanks a lot for flagging this up.
