Some of the best food that I have ever eaten in a restuarant. We all had the roast North Ronaldsay Mutton which was absolutely melt in the mouth with a huge depth of flavour. The dessert choice was brilliant and the wine excellent. The service...More

This place is one of the higher priced places in Orkney but worth the price. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The staff were knowledgeable about the area and the food they served. Not necessarily your first thought when...More

We dined on local food which was presented and cooked extremely well. The service was excellent and more polished than anywhere else in Orkney. I have to admit that the absolute highlight was watching the evening sun glinting on Scapa Flow. What a view. Make...More

If a weekend night preferred, probably a week/2 weeks in advance especially during the summer months. For a evening during the week, a few days in advance.

Description
At the Foveran, you can enjoy the finest Orkney produce in a relaxed and comfortable setting with stunning views across historic Scapa Flow.
Superb seafood features strongly on our menu along with prime beef and lamb. We work closely with local livestock farmers, fishermen and growers to select the best seasonal produce for our larder ensuring we obtain the highest quality. We strive to create dishes from the freshest, local ingredients. As well as supporting local producers, we are keen to retain Orkney's culinary traditions. We bake our own bread daily including 'bere bunno' or bannock (a traditional flat bread) using stone-ground beremeal flour from the Barony Mill.
We also offer a wide range of carefully selected wines, liqueurs, local ales and malts. These can be enjoyed at your table, or in the more relaxed setting of the lounge.
We're really proud to have been four times winner of the Orkney Food and Drink 'best evening meal' award and the first 'Orkney Masterchef 2014 title.
We look forward to offering you a memorable Orcadian experience.
