Staff very friendly and responded immediately to a small issue with my main course. Full English breakfast served promptly and the plate was full! Will be staying... More

Went for lunch on Saturday with the bf. We had the set menu, 3 courses for £16 and thought it was really good value. The belly pork was amazing, only thing was I managed to splash pig fat on me but the waitress helped me sort it out. I haven't been for a while and the refurb looked amazing. Will... More

We were looking for a place to stop off and eat during a trip from Bath to Leeds and decided to give the Royal Oak a chance. What a great decision that was! The food was outstanding. Hands down the best burger I've ever had. The whole family loved their food, including our usually fussy children. Staff were friendly and... More

On arrival back to East Midlands from holiday there was a problem and traffic hold ups on the M1 so we decided to go to the Royal Oak for a drink and meal before starting our journey North.. The interior has been recently refurbished in an attractive style but retaining a village pub feel to it. We received a warm... More

It has been some time since we last ate here and it was superb. Great beers from the bar accompanied an excellent menu with very good service so overall very very good and highly recommended.

Had an excellent lunch with friends here. The food was super quality, very well presented and very tasty. We can highly recommend this pub/bistro/restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and executed with smiles and pleasantries. Thank-you to everyone there.

One of the best meals I've had in a long time! It was a last minute decision to go for lunch last Saturday as it was my partners Birthday and we were already out for a meal at night. I phoned and managed to get a table for within the hour. The Royal Oak has a warm cosy feel about... More
