Went on a Friday night and all was excellent, very good choice of beer and wine, we had some friends over from Nottingham who said it was the best food they have had in the area

Having just stayed at the Royal Oak for one night on a business trip, I thoroughly recommend. Country pub with character, great food and service, lovely modern bedrooms and a wonderful breakfast to finish!

The roasts and other food stood out from standard Sunday lunchtime fare. They were very accommodating when we arrived at a busy lunchtime without booking

Good standard of food in a pleasant village pub with a lively bar. The food is a real cut above the usual pub food with a creative chef properly prepared and cooked food , non of the factory delivered stuff re heated by so many pubs. I have found some of the food a little over salted for my taste... More

It was a ridiculously expensive restaurant for the service and food served. My review was removed as I rated them really low. I will get my review published here to make other people aware, though. I went there with my husband and we were very unhappy with everything, food, service and setting. It was blowing cold from windows, the fish... More

Two of us visited the Royal Oak last week as we were staying nearby and it was recommended by the B & B we were staying in. We were not expecting too much as this is a small village but we were very pleasantly surprised. We were made to feel very welcome on arrival and seated promptly .The menu choice... More

Rooms look amazing. The food here is excellent. Always a good choice, and locally sourced which I love. Worth a visit, do not... More
