Being tucked down a little lane outside Lymington is a blessing and a curse for the Chequers Inn. A Pub that has a busy dinner trade and a sports bar section that coexist nicely. The restaurant attracts all sorts - families, older couples, and well, us. The food is tasty and well presented. Lots of old favourites in the bar... More

Stopped here for lunch, great food with large portions. Friendly and attentive staff with interesting yachting memorabilia on walls.

It poured with rain during our walk and we came into the Chequers on a Saturday at about 1.30pm in search of a bowl of soup. The pub was busy but it has space and we found a table to sit. There was good natured banter about our wet clothes which was very welcoming and made us feel part of... More

Went here to take elderly parents out for a meal, booked a table for 1.00pm. Arrived a few minutes early and ordered - all going well. Then we waited and waited and waited. Another couple who had arrived after us were being served so asked what had happened to our order - waitress went to find out - turns out... More

A great pub with great food and great staff. Sunday roast could not be bettered for quality or price. Have not been here as much as I would have liked as parking is a problem but great to walk to and a real treat halfway through a long walk. Will be back soon.

A warm and cosy pub full of locals and walkers. Good choice of food, everyone seemed happy with their chosen dishes. I have a different idea of Moules Mariniere and wouldn't have ordered it if I'd realised it came with a creamy sauce but I'll know next time. Luckily my husband loves creamy sauces and he enjoyed the cream sauce... More

Took my mum here on Saturday and was really impressed. Our waitress who was outstanding made us feel welcome and the food was delicious. Thoroughly recommended.

We have eaten here four times now for supper and it is constantly friendly, cosy with good food. This is an out of the way pub for the campers, yachters and locals (and all their dogs). The menu is good quality hearty food with a selection of catch of the day fresh fish options. The pub has a relaxing feel... More

A bit off the beaten track and with limited parking we chose to sit in the part covered quadrangle area, mainly because it had better wheelchair access, but discovered this was also the smoking area, although how it passed any inspection as a designated smoking area with food being served as well I do not know. The favourites bar snack... More

The service and atmosphere is great at this pub. The outdoor seating area in particularly inviting. Prices are very reasonable and the food was to die for!! Pork belly with chorizo, duck with a pear and port sauce. Portions were huge!! Would definitely return!!
