Dropped in for a late impromptu lunch on New Year’s Eve with 3 friends and a baby and a table was found for us immediately despite them being extremely busy. This was my 3rd time to the Mayflower, and they impress every time! The service...More

Ideal to eat here as they serve food all day and at 5:30 in the afternoon, anywhere decent isn't yet serving food. Great menu but read the small print as they add 10% to the bill for the tip. Good selection of wines and lagers....More

Dropped in on the off chance for lunch on New Year’s day. Food was excellent with a good variety of choice. Service was friendly and timely. Great to see an alternative to the ubiquitous (and unpalatable) Fever Tree tonic. Certainly recommend this pub for food...More

Another tasty Sunday Lunch at The Mayflower with family - they serve a lovely plate of food (particulary the roast dinner), and as always in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. We visit a lot and every meal is delicious!

Came here on a date night, I had a steak, cooked wonderfully, and my other half had a beef dish. Wine was superb and even spoiled our selves with a bottle of bubbly. No room for desserts maybe next time. Waiter was lovely. Will return!

Arrived for a Saturday evening meal as a table of four. Welcomed at the bar by a failed comedian of a barman, inappropriate and not even vaugly funny. The food was fairly prompt to the table, which was understandable, because the 'homemade' pate was shop...More

Made a last minute decision to have Sunday lunch here. We were lucky to get a table as we had not booked. Decided to only have main and dessert, which was probably a good idea as portions were of good size. One had chicken and...More

We have eaten at the Mayflower on lots of occasions and it usually has good food. But what has happened to the service? It was diabolical when we went for Sunday lunch. Both back and front doors were wide open, so being cold and draughty...More
