Visited on a busy Friday night, but luckily we'd booked for our party of 6. We went straight into mains and side dishes (after popadoms) and all of us were very pleased with our choices and the large portion sizes. I had a lamb Akbori, which was very good. Side dishes were also generous and good. Service was excellent. Any... More

Modern Indian restaurant with a selection of out of the ordinary dishes. Service quick and very courteous. Mire expensive than a standard Indian restaurant and the food is highly spiced.

I always think that you can tell so much about an Indian restaurant by the way they make tarka dhal. It has to be just about the simplest dish on the menu, being basically lentils, water, turmeric and garlic yet it's amazing how badly some restaurants mess it up. Here at the Rivaaz they do it perfectly, creamy and garlicky,... More

Sorry but the food was bland and warm as opposed to hot and spicy. I understand their point that the average Brit doesn't want it too hot but( spicy) one dish could havebeen medium hot at least. The drinks were pricy and the desserts ended up being pricey as well. We made the mistake of ordering ice cream with the... More

Booked a table for the same Friday evening. The restaurant was busy and noisy. Lots of people enjoying themselves whilst having a truly scrumptious meal. The staff were very pleasant. They didn't rush us and were very helpful. The food arrived freshly prepared and presented well. Portions sizes were good. We couldn't manage to finish and were offered "doggy bag"... More

We entered, warm welcome and noisy chatter from several tables pushed together. Attentive service. Very good food. The lively atmosphere began to get a bit too loud as the evening progressed but that is so much better than having a morgue-like atmosphere. The one-star lost was taken by the man with the very loud voice at the next table who needed... More

Visited with a friend on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was busy, with a good atmosphere - until they turned on loud pop music. On request, they kindly turned it down (but turned it up again later, only to be asked to turn it down again). The food was excellent and the service attentive, professional and faultless. If you don't... More

Had a meal in another Lymington Restaurant very recently, they say comparisons are odious but must compare. The welcome on entering Rivaaz was so different, warm, efficient and considerate, the 'other place' gave no welcome, staff not brilliant and food mediocre, so Rivaaz delighted us. Super menu, staff helpful in making a choice, condiments lovely, all the dishes we had... More
