Visited this evening joining friends for a birthday meal. Im not going to waste anymore time on this place so here is a summary Service - incredibly slow and erratic Food - mediocre Atmosphere - good if you like pub quizzes blasting out in your ears from loudspeakers A truly awful embarrassing experience. I went to the Royal Oak last night for dinner with my family and mother in law and had a fab time!! Parking was easy in the large car park and my 2 children absolutely loved the new adventure playground. An added bonus was the £1.00 meals for children before 6pm for people in the local community. That's a great... More

On a friend's recommendation we stopped by for an evening meal. As it was a lovely evening we decided to eat outside which to the staff was no problem. We all ordered different main courses and we were all thoroughly delighted by what we were served. The food was well cooked and presented. Good portion sizes and the service excellent.

From the moment we walked in through the amazing new play area into the pub/restaurant we were welcomed with smiles and a willingness to serve. We had a drink at the bar served with a smile and a lot of fun followed by being shown to our table and left in peace to decide what we wanted from the extensive... More

Usually a smashing place to eat but we made the mistake of visiting on a Monday evening when some very pleasant food was completely ruined by the extreme noise of the quiz night music and quizmaster.

What a choice, A carvery with 4 roasts and half a dozen vegetable choices, priced at one two or three courses. A la carte menu also available. Excellent meal. Attentive staff. Plenty of outside seating, children friendly. Good experience.
