We had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Bosco in Lytham! From the moment we walked in, Anna and the team made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm and attentive service.
The food was nothing short of exceptional—cooked in a traditional wood-fired oven, delivering an authentic, unforgettable flavor that keeps you wanting more. Every bite was bursting with rich, smoky goodness that truly sets Bosco apart.
The wine pairings were perfect, complementing the dishes beautifully. We also loved the great selection of desserts, and of course, no Italian meal is complete without proper Italian coffee and liquors—both of which Bosco delivers flawlessly.
We have been regular guests for the last 13 years and absolutely love spending our special occasions here. Every visit feels like a celebration, and Bosco continues to exceed our expectations time and time again.
With reasonable pricing for such high-quality food and service, this restaurant is a true gem in Lytham. If you love real Italian cuisine, Bosco is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Belated ex-works Xmas Do for 16 people - It would have been more but storm Eowyn put a stop to several people turning up. A quick phone call in the morning and the numbers were reduced no problem
A mixture of number of starters, mains, puds were all handled well and dividing the costs up between 16 people was handled easily.
The food I had (Goats Cheese starter/Tagliatelle with creamy mushroom/chicken sauce) was lovely. Everyone else really enjoyed their food.
Would definitely go again.

Had very good crispy tomato garlic bread as starter followed by sea bass for main course, which came with potatoes and side salad..Sea bass was good and reasonable size.. Would have liked more (or bigger) potatoes and would have been nice to have had vegetables with it or bigger side salad. Had Vegan Pinot Grigio Blush which is one of the best wines I have ever had and definitely the best Rose I have ever had. I also had chocolate fudge cake for pudding which was large and delicious! Service was very good with friendly waitress. Whatever you have here would probably be good but wish I had had pizza instead of sea bass although the sea bass was good. The bill was large as it was quite expensive and they also add an optional service charge. Not massively expensive but still not cheap. Quality of everything very good though

Booked a table for four for dinner on Saturday night. Nice table in the window and Anna was welcoming. My pizza arrived just warm not hot and served on a cold plate but as everyone else was now eating I decided not to complain. Waitress turned up after a few minutes to ask if everything was OK so I told her my pizza was fairly cold. She offered to replace it but I told her not to bother as I didn't want to eat when everyone else had finished their meals. Asked for the bill and Anna was surprised I had complained as the waitress had not passed the message on. She offered to deduct the 10% service charge but I paid the full amount despite being unhappy about the meal. It will be a very long time before I go back.

Had a meal here on a Thursday night when having our first overnight stay in Lytham . Restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at.
Girl serving us was very pleasant and the restaurant decor was fine. The food however was nothing out of the ordinary and in our view overpriced. We both had pasta dishes which we were expecting to be something special given the reviews on trip advisor and the prices being charged. Was extremely surprised to be charged £2 when my wife asked for a little extra chilli with her pasta. Our bill came to £92 with modest bottle of wine (£29)
The sundaes we had as a sweet were very nice and good value. We are unlikely to choose this restaurant again if we were in Lytham as reasonable amount of choice in the town of restaurants.
(As is common practice now expect 10% service charge)

This place doesn’t listen to its customers. The pizzas have little taste and I’m sure the chef isn’t tasting what he serves. I went here because others wanted to try it and I was curious if they got better. They haven’t.
Food and service still substandard.

Having eaten at Boscos several times in the past I have to say things have gone downhill since my last visit four years ago. My son , who is a chef and had also previously eaten there decided to take me for lunch the day before Mother’s Day. What a disappointment. The first thing we noticed was the rip off drinks menu compared with the food menu. The same drinks that were cheaper on the initial menu were ALL more expensive! Then our food arrived, as I mentioned earlier my son is a chef, he chose the lasagne with a tomato garlic bread. I ordered a pizza with chicken sweetcorn and jalapeños. Let’s start with the meat lasagne shall we, there was no meat virtually! Just lots of tasteless tomato sauce, when the waitress asked if we were enjoying it so far he decided to be truthful. They did offer him something else but he declined. My pizza was awful, tasteless with picked vinegar jalapeños! The cheese was tasteless and the base was not up to an Italian restaurant standard. Probably one of the worst meals I’ve had in a long time. The price didn’t match the quality! But hey that’s Lytham for you! Fur coat and no nickers! Don’t waste your money!

Sad to see this place going downhill, we have visited this place many times over the last twelve years and I have often given it a five star rating but sadly not anymore.
First I must say as usual the staff were great, served with a smile and very efficient, I had my usual Diavalo pizza which I normally love but this was nothing like what I used to get, not much taste and far to many chillies thrown all over the pizza.
The bill was more than last time we visited and the wine was £28 to £30 a bottle, however it was the bill that upset all our table when it came, it had a Voluntary service charge of over £15, when we asked about this the staff said it was voluntary and it could be taken of which we asked them to do, we then left a tip of our own choice. What upset us was we nearly left the tip plus the service charge because we didn’t spot it right away, in my opinion the staff should tell you about the charge as soon as they give you the bill then you can make your mind up if you want to pay it or not. With the expensive wine, food not as good as normal plus expensive service charges slipped on your bill will we go back again, sadly no.

This restaurant was recommended y our hotel The Queens.
The waitress who served was a lovely young girl very attentive.
We both had a pasta dish which tbh we were underwhelmed 😥 my husband’s didn’t have much chicken in it and my prawns were overcooked.
We were as the title of my review quite shocked to be charged for a few extra chillies 🌶️ £2 as there was no mention of this. We thought it was a bit petty.
We both had ice cream sundaes which were very nice and made fresh.
Our bill with a £29 bottle of pinot Grigio was £92 which wasn’t great value for money.
All in all we wouldn’t book here again.

Ideally set right in the heart of Lytham and fantastic position when the sun is out and you can people watch.
Booking is very straight forward.
Warm welcome at the door for our Saturday Afternoon visit. It was 5.00 and there were 3 other couples in.
The place is staffed up to the max. Every time you turn around there is another member of staff starting. I think at one point there was 7 staff all standing which is a bit daunting for a place of this size.
Menu is not overwhelming but probably has something to suit most palates.
Waitress was an absolute gem
I had soup starter (carrot & coriander) which was ok. Meat ball main was nice but lacked any real oomphh! Portion of 4 meatballs was extremely meagre for a main. Wifey had carbonara which she said was just ok but not spectacular. Unusually for her, she finished the whole meal and I said "you must have enjoyed that", she replied that the portion was so small, she had to!
We have Italian meal out usually twice a month and like for like, if I compare Bosco to Allegria or Tiggis in St.Annes, or The Bank in Blackpool, the atmosphere, prices and portion sizes is not up to same as them.
The nail in the coffin was 10% service charge which is put on your bill. In front of other guests, you are then coyly asked if you want to remove it. C'mon, businesses are saying they are on their knees with the pandemic and this is a stealth tax for carrying your food out of the kitchen. Would M&S ask you for 10% for filling your shopping bag??

This has always been our ‘Go To’ Italian restaurant when in Lytham. However. We will sadly now be having a rethink..
The food, service and atmosphere was all up to the usual high standard. However, charging £35.50 for 4 drinks is excessive! £10 each for 3 glasses of wine is just extortionate. We had 2 x starters and shared the Lytham Square pizza which came in at a reasonable £29, unfortunately after the 4 drinks were added the total bill including service came in at a whopping £70.95.

First time to this restaurant and we were very impressed. Sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine and people watching. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had the baked chicken pasta dish which was delicious. My daughter had the baked salmon which was also delicious and full of salmon. Will definitely eat here again when next in Lytham.

Sadly this was definitely not the same place we used to visit regularly when we lived in the area. Service was very good but the food was not good to say the least. The pizza was nothing special & to be honest I have had better from a supermarket & not costing £16 ! The two pasta dishes that were supposed to contain chicken had literally 3/4 small cubes in the dish. Expensive £99 for just 1 pizza & 3 pasta dishes that where poor

On a recent visit to Bosco we were surprised and disappointed to find they have now added a service charge to your bill. Totally unnecessary, and just symptomatic of greedy businesses making extra profit. Note - a tip is given for good service and at the discretion of the customer and furthermore would suggest any service charge should be on food and not on already overpriced drinks. Food was ok but expensive. As residents of LYTHAM, would suggest that you ‘Don’t bite the hand that feeds you’, - we are the people you continually ask to support local businesses. Happy to do so, but don’t rip us off.

Just moved to Lytham & was recommended Bosco. Poor first course of Calamari (chewy) & mushrooms (like bullets) put us on the back foot, but main courses? Wow, stunning. Maitre D also reduced bill as a gesture of goodwill. Good experience.
