We visited the Blue Ball for an early evening meal. Having not eaten here for a few months, we were tempted to go when we received an e-mail from the Blue Ball detailing their upcoming events & offers. We had a warm friendly welcome as always, and given a choice of eating in the bar or restaurant. The menu offers... More

I had been looking forward to dining at the Blue Boar for some time having come across the Inn by accident earlier in the year. It looks lovely and is set in a pleasant little village. When we booked we ended up accepting an early booking because they couldn’t fit us in later. You would think this might be because... More

We visited the Blue Ball for our anniversary dinner. The staff are lovely, the pub is beautiful, and the food is amazing with imaginative dishes using seasonal produce. The food is presented beautifully, and the portions are large. Very reasonably priced too. One of our new favourites!

We need to declare an interest. We are relatively local and the Blue Ball is our pub of choice. We went for dinner after the elections in the USA. These are interesting times. But we can at least all take encouragement that we now have a president who eats good Burgers. Dinner - seared Partridge breast on a salad with... More

I can only thank my fellow Trip Advisor reviewers for recommending this pub. Called in for lunch at the weekend. Booking a table for a Saturday was easy no the staff were helpful in providing directions. Indeed the staff were very helpful, polite, knowledgable and attentive throughout our visit. The pub has a lovely traditional ambience whilst at the same... More

We went for a meal last Thursday night, we had booked to avoid any disappointment. Very welcoming friendly staff, didn't have to wait long and our meal was excellent. We have also been there for Sunday lunch which was also excellent. We shall be returning soon.

We are relatively local and visit regularly. Always good service and the food is tasty and well presented. Good range of wines and regular offers and discounts. Live music quite often adds to the atmosphere. Relaxing place to have a leisurely, pleasant time.

Me & my partner recently went to the blue ball for an evening meal, the food was good & the staff very friendly & accommodating. We have been before & it never fails to impress. A lovely countryside pub, always worth a visit.

I visited this pub for the first time in quite a few years and I was very pleased that I did This pub is so quintessentially English in it's attraction to those that have yet to visit it. the hosts are a very pleasant couple who make you feel welcome and certainly aim to please. Me and my girlfriend came here in September for a year anniversary meal. I had managed to trick her into thinking we were going elsewhere...I relied on her lack of direction. She was pleasantly surprised and we both ended up enjoying a lovely meal on Sunday. It was tasty and we were well catered for. The staff were polite and... More
