Called in to the eagle inn on chance for Sunday lunch, friendly staff, loads of food served up but it could have been a bit hotter. Shame as the food tasted very good.

2nd visit to this high street pub, both times had a midweek lunch, Beef Stew with crusty bread, for just £3.95, really tasty and plenty of meat and piping hot, bread was lovely too. Saw several other meals being served to other customers and they looked great also. A really nice barman, very helpful and friendly. Nice pub , will... More

Discovered this pub whilst visiting Ross on wye. Noticeboard outside advertising stew and crusty bread for £3.95. Must admit this did tempt us in. Staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The bar and food area were accessible for everyone. There was a mixture of visitors and regulars, got to say a great atmosphere. When our food arrived it was hot,... More

We visited on Wednesday afternoon and it was very quiet. Visited with my two children husband and Dad. Kids eat for £1 and my little girl wanted something which wasn't £1 but they were very accommodating. Food was amazing. I had the largest brunch breakfast. It was very hard to eat it all but I gave it a good go.... More

Called in at The Eagle for the first time, on a Saturday night. We were attracted by there being a live band on as part of a Halloween bash that seemed to be taking place. Really liked the pub and would certainly be a regular if it was local to us. Love live music and the band were pretty good,... More

We often go to the eagle for lunch as its child friendly and the food is great. Staff are always accommodating of our 'crèche' and offer plenty of high chairs and will split a child's meal into 2 for babies. Entertainment is great too. Plenty of nights out here which have been such fun and a brilliant atmosphere. Bingo is... More

A friendly pub/restaurant with a warm atmosphere. Had Sunday lunch there recently, price was good for what you got. No one complained they were hungry, good portion sizes and plenty of veg! The only let down was trying to contact them. Please update the phone numbers, as it took a question on TripAdvisor to get the correct number.

Popped in for a pre dinner drink.Asked which roses they had.....Yawn Yawn!..... Same response from these won't take a gamble inns!! "We have White Zinfandel or Pinot Grigio Blush"!When will these places learn that rosé is the fastest growing wine in commercial popularity in the UK at an average of 10% over White or Red!!!... Ok. A fiver for a... More

We visited the Eagle Inn a few weeks ago and have to say the breakfast was quite simply fantastic!! Bacon wash very good quality and thick slices. All of it was cooked to perfection. What a lot you get for your money. We were so lucky to have found this place. If you have a large appetite then this will... More
