Something seems to be going very wrong here. Hardly anyone there. Different management from when we last went there a couple of years ago. Beer and wine was fine. Menu was limited and very cheap. We just wanted something simple to eat so that was fine. First table we sat at was so wobbly we nearly lost our drinks, so... More

Visited on September 24th as it was the first evening of a weeks fishing holiday. Board outside said muscles and chips.... When inside we asked for a menu. The lady gave us a menu only for a man to say it was the wrong one. He took the menu away only to give us an identical one 5 minutes later...... More

Rang to make a booking after seeing an advertisement in the local paper which said they had a new French chef. They accepted the booking but when we turned up the place was closed! Not sure if permanently or just that night but needless to say we won't be going back

First impression of the pub is that it has seen better days, and could do with a spruce up. There isn't a lot of choice of drinks but the landlord still manages to mix up drinks and give you the wrong ones (my wife had two lots of ciders combined, not the best). Didn't instill me with confidence. The landlord and... More

The pub/restaurant is now open. Happy hour 6 till 8 where draft products are 2.50 a pint, loads of real ale and local beers on tap. French theme to the food. Owners are chatty and friendly. Several people in the restaurant eating, although on this occasion we did not eat.

We arrived to an empty inn! When we visited before the place was packed and we were lucky to book. The staff were friendly but the food awful. We had 3 vegetarian pies and one chicken and mushroom pie. Considering there was only 4 of us in the pub, how does the food arrive cold? We ate a little and... More

We stopped here for food after a long walk around Goodrich. The food was fab and great value. The service needs massive improvements, it was clear the staff roles hadn't been decided, there was poor communication between the staff. No one came to check on us and at the end of the meal the lady tried to charge us for... More

When we first walked through the door early one evening the new landlord looked genuinely surprised to see us. The place was completely empty. We ordered drinks and contemplated the very basic and makeshift menu. We opted for rump steak (medium rare), chips and salad. As we waited we cast our eyes over the dingy interior and the battered furniture.... More

It is currently closed. We had made a room booking and turned up to find it shut. All the curtains were drawn and no one answered knocks on the door. There were no notes on the door to inform of the situation nor any numbers to make contact. We ended up at the white house in ross and enjoyed our... More
