Great value lunch at the Crosse Keys. The key burger is very tasty. The welcome is second to none and the wood burning fire adds hugely to the charm.

Stopped in on the way to Monmouth from the West Midlands and we were made to feel so welcome. Sat right next to the fire which was lovely after an hour and a half sitting in the car. We had the Keys Burgers which were gorgeous and absolutely massive. Would definitely stop in again if we are in the area.... More

Yesterday, my hubby and I popped in as was half way to Pendine and we were starving! We were made to feel very welcome and John couldn't do enough for us. I had lasagne and my hubby had steak and ale pie. The food was piping hot, large portions and the chips were to die for. A bit far for... More

A traditional pub with a great atmosphere and cosy log fires. The food is excellent, a good choice for all ages. Traditional beers. The sort of pub you pop into and end up staying for the whole afternoon. It is dog friendly and they didn't mind our muddy boots!!

We visited en route from Birmingham to Cardiff. Nothing beats a pub with a roaring fire on a cold winter's night. We were amazed to hear that the current owners have only had the pub for 8 weeks with no previous pub experience as the welcome was top class and the food even better (especially the onion rings which were... Great location, just off M40 between Ross and Monmouth. Great beers (Wye Valley). Bar billiards, bowling. Friendly landlord/landlady (who also sell super Xmas trees in season). And just down the road from a fab walk at Coppet Hill (views, lime kilns etc).

We enjoyed a very good Sunday roast in this village pub. The meal was freshly prepared and served with a huge variety of vegetables. We had roast beef and roast lamb and both were served different gravy made from good homemade stock. The landlord and landlady were most welcoming as was the roaring log fire. We shall definitely return and... More
