The setting is lovely which is what drew us to this place on the final day of our holiday. The food was awful, the children's pasta was too much for an adult let alone a child and it was watery and bland, and tagliatelle isn't really the easiest pasta for a child to eat. The fish fingers were large but... More

Being a local it's somewhere we pop occasionally for a Sunday dinner as you don't need to book. We ordered starters which came out quite quickly, however for deep fried Brie you would have expected it to be warm but it wasn't, we carried on and ate it any way but it was also over cooked. We then waited ages... More

Our 2nd time visiting the Old Court Hotel, we were staying on the campsite at the end of the road in the T5 and wandered up to the restaurant. Beautiful 16th century hotel with a lovely cosy feel to it. The outside area to the rear was pretty with plenty of seating to catch some rays. Menu has a large... More

16th Century hotel set in lovely surroundings right next to campsite and the river wye. Have been here before in the past so was happy to come back again. Great choice of traditional pub dishes that are reasonably priced. Also good choice of Local ales and cidres. We would happily return in the future next time we are down this... More

We stumbled across this pub whilst visiting the butterfly farm, the food was served quickly and was a nice sized portion. Staff were friendly and the food was nice. We paid £40 for 1 adults and 3 children's mess and drinks which is fairly priced. Lovely gardens to sit in. Thank you

We struggled to find anywhere to eat in Ross on wye so stopped her when driving past. Was very busy but lots of space. Good and drink was ok but nothing special. Lots of kids around. It serves it's purpose.

Had an odd experience here. A group of 14 were booked in (pushed up to 15 on the night, but that wasn't a problem). As there were 4 families, we all ordered at the same time, both sets of starters came at once, good start, however, we'd ordered garlic bread to come as a starter and another one of our... More

After reading so many positive reviews I was very excited for my stay here. The main communal areas are lovely, however the room I stayed in was quite small, and very unexciting. The main disappointment was with dinner - I ordered a sirloin steak. It was very average, nothing special, around the standard I would expect from a decent pub.... More

Ate lunch and dinner here. Both meals super tasty. Amazing gravy, perfectly cooked steak. Nice choices available, good selection of ciders on tap (though could do with some more ales), big garden at the back with loads of tables and good sun trap. Walking distance to campsites etc.

The old Court is steeped in history and has 10 rooms with beams, the rest of the rooms are in a new annexe and are very small and featureless, but adequate. So if you are booking the cheaper rooms you will be in the annexe. The bar is delightful and has a very good menu. If you book dinner at... More
