Stopped in here during the off season for some breakfast after our stroll around the small town. Located right alongside the busy, waterfront car park, the place seems to keep a steady business, but not overly busy if that makes sense. Ordered a typical English breakfast and a breakfast sandwich to go along with our coffees. The two gents, taking... More

This place is great and represents good value. The only downside is that you carry the smell of cooking with you for the rest of the day

Off season - 4 staff on and wanted a simple breakfast. Waited 15 minutes for my order taken and 45 minutes later (with hot drink long since drunk) gave up on my breakfast! Surprised to find 4 staff in the kitchen chatting.

We had a breakfast here as we were starting our walk from Salcombe. The café is very small but cosy. The food is hot and tasty and is of an average price. Good service from the owner. The cafe also does takeaway. A local resident recommended the café.Worth a visit.

Came here at the weekend with a few friends. Great location and decent brekkie. Quite small and gets very busy, but lovely view of the harbour.

I always try & stop here for breakfast when I'm in Salcombe & as always the breakfast was top quality. No deepfried mushrooms or microwaved tomatoes here it is all cooked properly & it's easy to tell the ingredients are good quality. Keep up the good work, loved it!

Won't swap!!! So if you don't fancy tomato's and you fancy beans instead, You have to pay for it. Apparently the cafe can't swap in peak times, which is practically all the time they are open...never mind! They do however make a mean Bacon Sarnie, so we stuck with that!!!

Captain Morgans is a modest cafe a stones throw from the harbour. The food is well prepared and full of flavour. The staff are friendly and helpful. My personal recommendation is a cup of Owen coffee and a salcombe crab sandwhich.

A decent cup of coffee here sat outside watching the goings on around the harbour. I also noticed that gluten free breakfast options are available.

This cafe prides itself on serving local food made or cooked to order. We had freshly cooked fish and chips available in 2 sizes, served piping hot and beautifully crisp. Plenty of choice in sandwiches too especially shell fish ones. Lots of soft drinks and different types of tea and coffee. - all teas only £1.00.

Description
This busy little breakfast and lunch cafe is situated right in the middle of the bustling seaside town overlooking the sea which is 50 yards away. Opening early in the morning for the local fishermen and then the passing tourist, it is a great place to have lunch too with fresh local produce that is freshly prepared.
