The food was out of this world! A really varied menu, they have a good choice twinned with the specials. The wine list is very good too. Our service was slow but they were a team members down. Well worth a visit!

This restaurant has a great menu with lots of seafood some of it prepared in unusual but tasty ways. The restaurant decor is very pleasant and the staff are friendly and efficient. Overall a lovely dining experience with hot dishes served hot!
A welcome find in a wind-swept Salcombe. Up a side passage off the main drag, Fore Street, the Boatswain's Brasserie is a small but welcoming restaurant. As with all of the few places in Salcombe you must book as they get swamped at busy periods....More
We were a bit disappointed by the salt and pepper squid starter. It was fairly awful, rubbery and frankly was visibly wrong so the kitchen shouldn't have let it out. Then my wife got the lemon sole and I got my cod (with scallops and...More
We have been to this restaurant numerous times over many years, including previous incarnations. This visit was probably the best, enhanced by superb front of house staff, all very enthusiastic, smiley, courteous, and just what you want from a restaurant. We chose fish starters and...More

As visitors, we were recommended this bistro by a local couple from Salcombe. Not a place you would see mo,y come across as its tucked down a side ally. It was such a nice place with a good varied menu but an even better specials...More
Stumbled upon this place which is off the main street. Polite friendly service and stunning food. The mussels and peppered monkfish were particularly lovely. Good selection of local ales in bottles. Only downside was that I wasn't given the option to leave a tip on...More
Without doubt the best meal we had in Salcombe on our recent stay. Bit of a hidden gem and booking essential. No children's menu as such, but very accommodating to our fussy eaters (11 and 7), staff really knowledgeable and friendly, a fantastic find!
