Overlooking Wallingford’s market square, the Grade II listed building in St Martin's Street that was once home to the town’s prominent post office, first re-opened its doors as an Oakman Inn in 2009. In addition to bearing the same name, The Old Post Office features many of the original elements, including the Victorian counter, and the traditional red post box situated in our front courtyard.

This place used to be great but has gone massively down hill. Went for brunch with a group of friends. The bacon disappointed everyone, undercooked with thick raw fat attached. Either the fat should be cooked/crispy so you can eat it or cut off. All...More

Many thanks for the feedback. From what you describe, the service was not up to our usual standards. The chef brigade teams do receive extensive training. Indeed the quality of our freshly cooked menu is very much the hook on which we hang our hat....More

Me and my friend went there for breakfast this morning, and it was absolutely delicious! We went on a Friday morning so it was not too busy and we were served quickly.

The food is good - eggs benedict is lovely! Some of the tables are very close together which can be a bit awkward but still good food, nice atmosphere.

Came here for breakfast and it was good, bit expensive but wasn’t too bad. Staff were okay, they were quiet inside but didn’t mean to be any staff around

The opo is a great place to go, with a large menu. However service is generally average and the food okay. We a small push on the service and a better differing specials list, this could be great.

Our family greatly enjoyed their traditional Christmas lunch on Christmas Day except for the poor bread sauce. The rest of the menu was very good. Service was great and helped make for a great family atmosphere. Thank you to all the OPO staff.

Yes, Waitrose Car park - free after 5pm I believe (used to be 6pm). If you for lunch though, you'd be better off in the long stay down Goldsmiths Lane (turning after Waitrose if coming from traffic lights)
