Had a fantastic family get together here. The food was excellent - proper food and plenty of it. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was a busy Friday evening but we were served quickly but not rushed to leave either. There is large outside area play area for the kids too. We came with our disabled grandson and they... More

I visited the Fox Inn for lunch and I was not disappointed. The ambiance inside was very pleasant indeed with a good mixture of people, from families to couples. Our order was taken reasonably quickly. I had the most delicious lamb shank on mash and a separate dish with vegetables. It was perfectly cooked. They have a variety of other... More

A group of 8 of us visited for an evening meal recently, including one friend in a wheelchair and we were made to feel extremely welcome, no trouble at all accommodating my friend's chair. The food was absolutely superb, particularly the trout with almonds, the service was attentive but not intrusive and the bill was very reasonable considering the quality... More

Visited at lunchtime and despite it being a Thursday was very busy but food was served within a reasonable time. Enjoyed their Spitfire real ale. Whilst only having a main meal did not want any more food for the rest of the day.

Another useful refreshment stop if you're out walking locally. It caters well for families with generous outside seating accompanying the play area. A bit bland in the interior but no complaints about the service or staff plying welcome cool drinks, but Japanese lager? What's all that about? Cosmopolitan then, though they do keep an excellent couple of Harveys Bitters on... More

Although on our visit the Inn was extremely busy with a funeral reception and regular customers, this did not reflect on the quality of the food and the service, which was excellent. The waiting time was minimal. Our special thanks to Carol and our table waitress, who's name I forgot to ask, who were very caring and attentive. As the... More

I don't need to say much, as Tripadvisors Certificate of Excellence is proudly displayed in the entrance! If you are in the area and feeling hungry, I can recommend this excellent Pub Restaurant. The food is very good and the service is pretty good as well. Dogs are welcome in the bar and there is a new play area for... More

Neat menu, nice range of starters & mains. Braised steak with fresh veg good gravy and dauphinois slipped down a treat after the filo prawns for starter. Service good, ambiance pleasant, proper pub but geared to food as it really has to be these days for them to survive.

Visited this pub with some friends for the first time.......step back in time....we're in our Granmas front room. Extensive menu with a specials menu. Food was nice but lacked seasoning. Probably the place to go for an OAP evening/lunch. Our waitress could do with having a bit more personality and have a laugh with the customers!!!!

The Fox is a friendly, well run pub/restaurant. It has a traditional British menu and the portion sizes are good value for money. The food is very tasty and has a home cooked flavour. The only downfall is that when it gets busy the service can be a little slow. Very busy in summer months and has lovely grounds when... More
