Went here on a four course tasting menu with a Groupon voucher. The food was fantastic, I enjoyed all four courses and couldn't find fault at all. Good service and friendly staff, would recommend and certainly return ourselves.

A little late with this review! We were a party of seven and booked a table in the pretty pub garden. Four of us, including myself had the carvery and it didn't disappoint. Plenty of choice and the meat and vegetables were cooked perfectly. The vegetables were constantly refreshed not left to congeal under heat lamps. They were busy but... More

I called ahead and let the chef know I was vegan and he went above and beyond to design options for me, we agreed on Italian cuisine and I left it up to him to decide what to make. We arrived and we were told it was going to be a risotto and a flat bread, I was delighted! The... More

Visited the pub on Saturday night with family and friends and had a delicious meal. Staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was excellent. Menu is a bit different from your normal pub food which was nice. I would definitely recommend it and will be going back.

I have never had such an awful meal. The potted crayfish was disgusting and the steak was not worth the money at all. I have never been so disappointed with pub food, which was expensive too. The waiting staff were lovely and the musician was great.

My husband and I ate at this gorgeous pub for first time today and it was fantastic. Starters were lovely - pork and black pudding scotch egg was to die for. Then had a carvery main course each - offered pork belly, beef, turkey and gammon. Sampled all but my fave was the beef - perfectly pink in the middle.... More

What a fantastic place to go and eat, I've lived in the area a long time and never thought about visiting but I'd liked it on Facebook and kept getting pictures of the food that looked amazing so decided to take my wife for her birthday, I'm so glad I did. Upon arrival we were met by a very friendly... More

The food here was absolutely amazing. The portions sizes were large and also there was a good and varied selection to choose from. Prices were also good considering the amount of food and also how tasty everything was. The pub itself is very nice and quiet, locals obviously go there but there is calmness throughout. The garden (although I did... More

In the ancient parish of Brook, under the ridge of the Brabourne downs sits a gem of an inn, The Honest Miller. This village inn, built in 1609, was for many years a meeting place for countrymen out pigeon shooting and hare coursing. It was also where the local hunt would meet, waiting on horseback to receive their mulled wine and spirits.Today, in this historic atmosphere, the attractions are a little different. Sit in the beautiful old English beer garden sipping quality real ale, or enjoy a ploughman’s lunch among the free range chickens. The beer garden is ideal for children, with a resident Shetland pony, rabbits, guinea pigs, sheep and ducks.Inside, the inn oozes charm, with an open log fire and friendly welcome. It’s a romantic spot for couples to enjoy a candlelit dinner. Walkers and cyclists are also valued customers, along with their dogs. The kitchen is the hearts of this place – you need look no further for a superior home-made meal. Melt-in-the-mouth Romney Marsh lamb shanks, slow roasted and served with leek and rosemary gravy are just one of the delights on offer. Start with roasted butternut & vegetable soup, or creamy goat’s cheese with roasted peppers. Try our rack of Pork belly ribs with hickory barbecue sauce and homemade chips or Haddock with a mature cheddar & herb crumble topping. Desserts include Italian tiramisu, with Madeira and mascarpone, apple blackberry crumble, bread and butter pudding and lemon meringue pie. There are also vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes.
