It's a traditional type pub. These are becoming fewer and fewer. It has a traditional pub atmosphere, so if you are a traditional pub user it's for you. if you don't want a traditional pub or something more like a restaurant forget it.

If you want a friendly local pub then look no further. There is always a warm and friendly welcome in the 'Hoody'. Good beer, atmospheric and downright hospitable. I love going there.

A friendly pub with a great welcoming atmosphere. A good selection of real ales. This really is a proper local pub with friendly staff and customers.

While cycling through the UK this December, I decided to pop in to the Hoodeners Horse for a drink and a chat. Looking back on my holiday, it was one of the best night's I had. The atmosphere was great, the waitresses very hospitable, the music selected carefully - it was a shame that we all had to go home... More

This is what I call a "proper" pub. A traditional old fashioned pub with lots of character. If we lived in this village this would be our local. When we were there it was in its first week of opening with new tenants after being closed for quits a while. We went In for just one drink and ended up... More

I popped into the Hoodener's Horse with my Dad for a quick beer after some shopping. It was a lovely day, and we fancied a lager in the beer garden. As we walked into the bar we noticed an overpowering smell of bleach. There was nobody else there but to be fair to the pub, it was only 12:15. There... More

A warm welcome was not matched by the standard of cuisine now widely found in Public Houses. The slowness in the food coming out from the kitchen was perhaps down to our being a family party of 12, but when it did arrive it was very average, and did not excite. A shame really as the serving girls were very... More

Great place to visit for a drink with friends. Locals are friendly and a good selection of ales. Under new management, so worth a visit!

Really disappointed, terrible service and mediocre food. On arrival we waited for ages at the bar until another customer had to shout upstairs so someone would serve us. They had dirty sticky plastic menus and other tables were served before us even though we were there first. My G&T was served in a half pint glass, didn't have any tonic... More

I chose to take a work colleague to the swan which is now closed so we ended up here. Our two favourite beers were off, leaving a limited choice. There was heavy maintenence work going on at the cellar trap door with a lot of grinding, so I was struggling to hear my colleague. I was amazed to see people... More
