On a snowy weekend in Buxton, we spent a cosy afternoon in 53 Degrees North and really didn't want to leave. We had the prime seats by the fire where we were later joined by some new four-legged friends who stretched out on the hearth,...More

As Buxton locals this is one of our favourite stops. The bar is on the small side so get there early to get a seat. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the open fire is perfect to warm you up. The food is...More

Just the thing on a snowy day ! Real fire and warmth. Large mulled wine went down a treat. We enjoyed the venison burger at lunchtime.

Hubby had the muscles which were average; I had an antipasti platter which was really very disappointing. Bake at home French bread, parma ham and cheap salami, and not much else. Service was friendly but slow and had to work hard to attract their attention...More

Visited several times during our stay. A nice ambiance. Friendly staff. Nice beers with real ales also served. Food severed and appeared popular although we didn't eat here

Description
53 Degrees North is a neighbourhood bar on Hall Bank, moments away from the Crescent, Opera House, Pavilion Gardens, Old Hall Hotel and the Market Square. We have a range of award winning real ales, a great wine list, fab cocktails and a variety of Craft Beers. Our food is locally sourced where possible and we only use local suppliers. Our decor is eclectic and stylish, with log fires and a relaxing laid back atmosphere.
