We have been coming to Dunkeld 2/3 times a year for the last 10 years or so. The Taybank was always the place to go as it was always open, had a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. You could always forgive the shabby interior as it added to the character. Good progress has been made on the outside area... More

Lovely outside garden area but a pity about the lack of service or enthusuasm ibdoors shame as there could be so much potential there. No food being served at the moment either. What happened to the friendly place it was at one time.

Attended at lunchtime today with a friend, thought it was closed as staff paid no attention outwith their discussion while we found our own table. Staff vacated and I stood at bar a minute before anyone appeared back. Had been to the Taybank a few times over the years and noticed the current menu was standard fare to be found... More

Always been a great pub for live music and to enjoy the musical culture of the area but moved up a notch with new owners. Haven't tried the food but drinks menu has expanded to include a much more varied selection of local beers, much improved wine list and selection of spirits, many local to the area and Scotland. If... More

What a great job the new owners are doing. It is great to see all the improvements they are doing , although there is still work to be done don't be put off by negative reviews. There is a large beer garden with lovely views . The day we visited there was live music all afternoon & a band playing... More

We stopped here for Sunday lunch & ordered a roast beef and a mac&cheese. Having checked with the bar staff that the roast beef was served pink - not well done - we were rather surprised when the waiter brought out a Mac&cheese and a burger - a well done burger at that! Not much of an apology was made.... More

Description
Public house and venue situated on the banks of the river Tay, in Highland Perthshire.

The Taybank changed hands in Summer 2014 and is currently undergoing some much needed, and significant renovation work.
During the renovation, the bar has been open, the kitchen continues to get better and better under the supervision of our fantastic new head chef, and our music sessions play on...
