Wonderfully helpful staff (even when she was on her own with too many customers). Gorgeous fresh bread. Delicious whitebait and chips.

Made a special trip for the proper steak and ale pie and it didn’t disappoint! We came when they weren’t serving food (3-6pm) Every body was friendly and we got really good service. Pub has tremendous character and worth studying the walls for unusual posters.

I had steak and chips. The meal was large, hot and well cooked. The best meal that I had on this holiday on the Isle of Wight. My two companions cleared their plates too. I highly recommend this pub for it's food and pleasant service.

This is a great place to go for dinner. The food is extremely good quality. Try to visit at least once every time I have a week in the Isle of Wight.

It's such a joy to eat at The Taverners - in my opinion the best place on the island. The menu is imaginative, the food is fresh, local and beautifully prepared, and there is a wide choice of wine and ales to complement it. And...More

Excellent very friendly service. Center of Godshill. On site parking but limited. Great food so always book if possible. Reasonably priced.

Yes, 100 percent dogs are allowed. We go there 2-3 times a month for dinner and our dog comes with us every time. She particularly enjoys the dog treats on offer!
