Goodies serves very tasty bistro type food and it is always to a high standard. Lunchtimes are usually busy and the evenings more so when they have music. The only gripe I find, is that they sometimes require more staff.

The regular staff are lovely and work very hard the management / owners however won't assist customers in any way and are very aloof. Ironic really. I've seen this several times and experienced it myself. Most of us only go there now when other places are too busy. Shame really the food is quite good.

Used to frequent googles when living in Sandgate and working in Folkestone, now I've moved away it's one the few things that keeps me coming back. Great staff, incredible food and a great range of craft beers to enjoy. Since the extension it's just got even better. Although I do miss the nutty professor burger ;).

I hate to criticise a local venue but was really shocked by the service in the bar late Saturday evening. I celebrated my birthday in another local restaurant but recommended to my 2 friends we try the cocktails here to top off our excellent night. We waited at the bar for staff to even notice us, despite no other customers,... More

Arrived at half twelve on a Saturday. It was busy in the first room but the backroom was almost empty. The staff were utterly swamped and unable to cope with the level of custom. Although eating alone I still expect service and was disappointed that after being told to make my own way to the table and that I would... More

Sorry to read that you did not receive the service one would expect. We were swamped initially due to staff shortages due to various personal reasons. We did eventually recover when other staff eventually came on duty. We are a busy restaurant and their is a good reason for that. During busy times food does take little longer than it... More

Although I knew of Googies from a friend I'd never been in, but I decided to pop in for a coffee, unfortunately I had to wait some time for my coffee and was asked to take a seat and it would be brought to me, when the coffee eventually arrived it was luke warm so I returned it, another was... Different temperatures of steamed milk will give different flavours to a Caffe Latte or Cappuccino. It is therefore very important that we achieve a temperature that, in general, gives the best flavour. A higher temperature will be harder for the tongue to analyse. This is because the tongue is a muscle and reacts to heat. Milk with a temperature well... More

Took our 19 year old son here for lunch today after visiting a couple of times as a couple. Friendly greeting, prompt attention and the restaurant was clean and tidy. We sat in the newer part near the bar area. Had cheesy nachos to start then Son and I had the Fully Dressed Dog - delicious! Hubby had a burger... More

Limited, but good menu. Always a few craft beers on tap, and about 6-8 in bottles. I've always found the staff both pleasant and informative.

The food at Googies, is always good, but it is also mainly locally, ethically sourced food. Today however, I'd like to mention a keg beer they have in. SHERIFF FATMAN. It's worth a visit, if for no other reason than to try this beer.
