We struggled here as we wanted to eat and unfortunately their times are quite sporadic. That said the wine and beer were lovely, the dart board was a lovely touch along with the tv. Staff attentive and relatively quiet which we liked!

Inspired by the positive reviews here on Trip Advisor the food to be had at this pub we went to eat here on a Saturday evening only to find that they don't serve food. At least not on Saturday evenings. Big disappointment. Had to find somewhere else at the last minute on the busiest night of the week. If you... More

I went there by chance recently and had the best Sunday lunch I'd had in a restaurant for ages. There was a choice of beef or chicken with all the trimmings. There were about four or five fresh vegetables and lovely Yorkshire's. Highly recommended.

We had not eaten here since Nicki and Nally took over the premises. So we gave it A GO! The beer is always good here, forever guesting ales.We had not booked but fortunately they found space for us. We ordered Roast Lamb and the whole meal was delicious. The veg was very fresh and cooked just right. I even ate... More

Friendly staff and nice pub been here last about a year ago and left good review. However things have evidently changed, had roast lamb roast and it was not good . Fatty meat and over cooked tasteless veg accompaniment to add to the disappointment. When mentioned just had a comment of oh really , will not be returning which is... More

Friendly traditional pub for adults, close to the town centre. There is a good selection of well kept beers.

This pub is friendly and well decorated to create a clean relaxed atmosphere, the beer is a little pricy but you get what you pay for

Nikki, the new licensee, has been in place since March 27th and doing food for less than a week so the weekday menu is a bit sparse and a work in progress, but the pan-fried fresh cod is still there and was up to standard when we visited a few days after the kitchen reopened. On Easter Sunday only roasts... More
