Stumbled on this lovely pub the morning of the night before. After a bloody mary served by a lovely female bartender I was ready to mooch the cobbled streets. Oh yes it does work ....

What a fab place food and staff brilliant the whitebait was amazing. Unfortunately if you have mobility problem it could be an issue as upstairs dining and no lift. However my son uses quad sticks and he did manage the stairs. Can't praise this place enough great atmosphere, food , value and company what more can you ask for 👍

I'd love to have this review as mine but you have the wrong ship inn were in Folkestone I believe you were in sandgate. We have asked trip advisor many times to add Folkestone after our name and sandgate after there's but after countless phone calls , email and even the carrier pigeon they still refuse to add anything to... I have been going to this little pub on Folkestone harbour for a few years. It's lovely inside, full of atmosphere and more than a few characters who class themselves as locals! Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons there's live music on which is really popular and the place gets packed. It's possible to sit outside on a few bar stools... More

Went here for an evening meal with friends. Had been recommended to order the cod as it is so fresh but unfortunately we were too late, it had all gone. Between us we had plaice, huss (rock) & smoked haddock. All of the meals were excellent, with very generous helpings. Would certainly recommend to others but if you want to... More

Hi pat thanks for your lovely review as you were probably made aware of we only buy fresh local fish and being a tidal harbour were limited to when we can replenish our stocks . We often run out of fish it's one of the reasons we have such a huge offerings that change daily with what's been caught we... More

We made our first visit to the Ship inn for lunch. The pub/restaurant had a warm ambience and we were immediately made to feel welcome. The service was very quick, and the food was excellent: we had cod and plaice fillets. The fish was delicious and the batter was as light and crisp as could be, all served with peas,... More

Brilliant little pub/ restaurant right next to the harbour the beer and atmosphere were brilliant as was the weather. We had already eaten elsewhere in Folkestone before coming to the ship and I was honestly gutted when seeing the food coming out. The prices seem very very cheap. Dover sole £13.99 I will be coming back to this place to... More

Early evening meal..as usual wonderful fish and chips, and if you are not a lover of batter or on a diet there is a pan fried option! Still waiting for the bigger tables to accommodate plate size! Thanks to some of the customers for choosing music of the 60's! This is a good old fashioned pub with a cosy, friendly... More

Thanks again for your review were still looking at getting different tables but we're also aware it's a pub so trying to get the mix right is always hard . We're glad you enjoyed your fresh local fish and also noticed that we now offer a pan fried opinion that's become very popular. Again thanks for your lovely review I'm... More

We visited the ship to hear a local band. The place was very busy the doors at the front were open and some people were dancing in the street. There were plenty of staff on hand to serve. There is a full bar and they do good food. There are stools outside with a great view of the harbour. Watch... More
