Early evening meal..as usual wonderful fish and chips, and if you are not a lover of batter or on a diet there is a pan fried option! Still waiting for the bigger tables to accommodate plate size! Thanks to some of the customers for choosing music of the 60's! This is a good old fashioned pub with a cosy, friendly... More

Thanks again for your review were still looking at getting different tables but we're also aware it's a pub so trying to get the mix right is always hard . We're glad you enjoyed your fresh local fish and also noticed that we now offer a pan fried opinion that's become very popular. Again thanks for your lovely review I'm... More

We visited the ship to hear a local band. The place was very busy the doors at the front were open and some people were dancing in the street. There were plenty of staff on hand to serve. There is a full bar and they do good food. There are stools outside with a great view of the harbour. Watch... More

Ate here every night with my colleagues while working in folkstone ...the food is fantastic...not your normal pub food by any means...the "huge" steak some of the guys got was tender and perfectly cooked and served on a massive plate with all the trimmings and the catch of the day fish dishes were all fantastic...the prices were really good for... The missus took me out for lunch as it was our anniversary. We'd been to the Ship Inn for a drink before and saw the food so thought we'd give it a go and I have to say we were both very impressed. We waited about 10 minutes for our meals and when they came out they were HUGE. Wife... More

I've got to say that food at The ship Inn has to be the best quality I've ever tried. The fish and chips are to die for, cooked to perfection, what more could you ask for. Having tried other place in Folkestone since this still tops everything else I've tried, simply brilliant.

Stumbled up this lovely traditional English pub! Andy the chef came out to have a chat and the fish had been caught fresh that morning....he could even tell what time the boat came in! Friendly atmosphere and staff couldn't be more obliging! If you don't like fish, my daughters had a cheese and ham ploughman's and I've never seen one... More

After enjoying a pleasant pint in a very nice pub overlooking the harbour, we ordered Huss and Chips, never having eaten Huss before it was with some trepidation. Well we need not have worried the Huss was what the chef said it was, caught fresh this morning and it was one of the best fish meals we have eaten (... More

Lovely meal here last night. The Ship Inn is a quaint little pub just near the foreshore of Folkestone. Our meals were a generous size and tasted wonderful. My lamb was cooked to perfection. The stafff were very friendly but should have come back to our table to check after meals were delivered. We never saw them again until tables... More
