Nice warm food on a cold day and great coffee. Great location to watch Folkestone walk by the corner windows.

Staff, food all of a good standard. They have a good entertainment calendar but book early as it does get busy. This place would do better in a prim position, don't dismiss just by look, go give it a try.

Visited Chambers on a Thursday evening when they had an excellent 5 piece rockabilly band. Great music, a lively crowd along with a bar with a good range of drinks. Check with their website to find out what is on.

My partner and I wandered in here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was extremely busy and we were lucky to get a table when another couple left (although we had to hover suspiciously for a while!) I ordered the Vegetarian fajitas, I asked the man serving what was in them and he asked if there was anything I... More

Brilliant location on a corner of busy Main Street. Really enjoyed the visit. We sat outside in baking hot sun. It's a little bit busy and noisy but still fun. Overall a really good feeling and quality to the place.

I've been to the chambers a few times in the past and I refused to go again - the service was horrifically slow to the point we almost left and this was on a weekday lunchtime and there was barely anyone in there! This happened twice in a row. Decided to give it another go probably over a year later!... More

Hi VintageWildmanClan and thank you for a number of things here! Firstly though let me apologise for any bad experiences you've had in the past with wait times for you food. A quiet bar doesn't always mean a quiet kitchen though, as we cook for the Coffee Shop too and that can get really busy of a lunch and all... More

Brilliant for a night out or coffee with a friend during the day. There is live entertainment at the weekends. The owner is very friendly and welcomes everyone.

A subterranean bar with a real atmosphere. The juke box was loud and there is live music several nights a week. The beer I chose from an interesting range was excellent, (Adnam's Lighthouse) the service pleasant and I would highly recommend a visit.

Hi Jeff1903 and thanks for your nice vibrant review of The Chambers. Also very glad you enjoyed your choice of ale too! We're in this years CAMRA good beer guide & have been in pretty much every edition back to 2004, so we take great pride in our ales & ciders. Glad that showed in the beer in your glass!... More

I've been going to Chambers for years and have always enjoyed their food, vibe and drinks. However, the last three times that I have been, the service has been terrible. On the first occasion, the cafe staff couldn't get an order for a sandwich right for a friend of mine, which kept having to be returned due to the staff... More

Hello Matt J and thanks you for your review of the Chambers. This doesn't sound like a particularly good experience and thankfully through our reviews i can see that those experiences are few. That fact this is the case though pushes me to deal with these instances straight away as they need to be addressed immediately! Can i ask you,... More

The Chambers is at first glance a street level Coffee Shop & roasters but by far the biggest surprise lies underground where The Chambers bar takes over! Either take in the great vista of watching Folkestone town life go on around you as you enjoy your freshly roasted & brewed coffee, or venture through the coffee shop downstairs to the vast area that is our bar. Featuring TWO bars and lots of seating in large group areas or intimate nooks just for two, we offer lots for you to do & try.Our standard menu runs Mon to Sat & offers freshly made Mexican cuisine, whilst our weekly Specials board runs from Tues lunch through to Sat night & presents the best in local & seasonal dishes. We stock only Kentish Ales & Ciders & have featured in every CAMRA good Pub Guide since 2004, being regional pub of the year for 2008! Continental keg beers are very well represented too with Bitburger having a permanent place on the bar alongside German black lager & weiss beer on draught. Music is a BIG part of Chambers life & we have UK & international artistes EVERY Thurs night. Playing mostly blues, folk & acoustic originals, you'll NEVER be disappointed with the artistes playing at Chambers. Thurs night is a fine entertainment bet!! Check out our Facebook for details of up & coming players. Booking for meals advisable though not always essential.
