Went with a large group, food was fantastic and large portions. With good price range. Would not have thought to eat here personally but would highly recommend.

Great little busy pub thats open till late weekends. the food is good if you like chilli and spice. the price of beer/ale or spirits is rather expensive, i.e. £3.50 for a pint, about 6/7 for a double spirit. live music or DJ some weekends, can get very loud in there, not allowing for converse between people unfortunately.

Hi Markramt and thank you for taking the time to review The Chambers. Great to hear that you've tried our menu and take it that a bit of spice suits you :-) We do however have a great deal of options so far as food is concerned and spice is actually a very small part of it. Our weekly specials... More

Long time customer who returns time and time again - never disappointed in food, drinks and general ambience. Potato skins are always delicious and chicken chimichanga is my fave. Fajitas are great and so are the chilli cobs. Chilli portions could be a bit more generous but the menu itself is always adventurous and there are regular specials. Keep up... More

Hi Hufflepuff33 and thank you so much for your review of The Chambers! Great to know that we've been providing what you like for so long and that it's good enough for you to return time and again. Excelllent news! Things like the skins & cobs we've been serving since we opened our kitchens in 1999 and will always feature... More

Went here in the morning because of the good reviews. However, the sandwiches are bad value for money and should definitely be avoided. Staff was extremely slow and unmotivated, so we were in for a long wait. When they did arrive, the sandwiches were practically without filling (3 thin slices of salami over the entire panini, really?). Will not come... More

Visited here in the evening for dinner with my partner on a Saturday evening, we arrived about 8.30pm and we got a table easily. The place was busy, but not too noisy, it has a beautiful atmosphere thanks to all the different arches and areas in the downstairs bar. We ordered food, a baconeer burger and a chimichanga. Both were... More

This cafe is part of the pub/restaurant of the same name, set on a strong corner location at the junction of Sandgate Road and Cheriton Place. Light and bright, this has a chilled atmosphere when less busy - enjoyed more if you can grab one of the soft seats to sink into. It's usually more on the busy side, very... More

Hi chestervoyager & thanks so much for your comprehensive review of our Coffee Shop! Brilliant :-) You've taken the time & effort to consider so many aspects of what we do and overlayed that superbly with the view of a visitor! Top job! Yes outside seating pretty much can become the domain of the smoking fraternity, especially since the smoking... More

I think it's a shame, there's a great atmosphere to the place, very cosy, but on the other hand there's not many beers to choose from, and most of them are quite boring. Could do with a bit more variety.

Hi Davidson5892 & thanks for taking the time out to review The Chambers! We liked this place very much and wanted everything on the menu! We had the steak in the end with chips and a dollop of mayonnaise which was scrumptious. Staff eager to please and good with the kids.

As the British seasons become ever more unpredictable you can always rely on The Chambers. A welcome retreat that never falls short in serving up some of the best food and drinks in town. Description
The Chambers is at first glance a street level Coffee Shop & roasters but by far the biggest surprise lies underground where The Chambers bar takes over! Either take in the great vista of watching Folkestone town life go on around you as you enjoy your freshly roasted & brewed coffee, or venture through the coffee shop downstairs to the vast area that is our bar. Featuring TWO bars and lots of seating in large group areas or intimate nooks just for two, we offer lots for you to do & try.Our standard menu runs Mon to Sat & offers freshly made Mexican cuisine, whilst our weekly Specials board runs from Tues lunch through to Sat night & presents the best in local & seasonal dishes. We stock only Kentish Ales & Ciders & have featured in every CAMRA good Pub Guide since 2004, being regional pub of the year for 2008! Continental keg beers are very well represented too with Bitburger having a permanent place on the bar alongside German black lager & weiss beer on draught. Music is a BIG part of Chambers life & we have UK & international artistes EVERY Thurs night. Playing mostly blues, folk & acoustic originals, you'll NEVER be disappointed with the artistes playing at Chambers. Thurs night is a fine entertainment bet!! Check out our Facebook for details of up & coming players. Booking for meals advisable though not always essential.
