Decided to visit for our evening meal and was not disappointed. Staff were so friendly, the chef made a fuss of my little girl and the lady behind the bar was just lovely. The food was some of the best I've eaten in a long time, not your standard pub grub but proper home cooked food. Bouncy castle in the... More

Decided to try The Smugglers Inn this evening to finish off our few days in the area. Steaks cooked perfectly & staff are friendly & helpful. First time we've taken our dog with us for a meal & she even got a treat too! 👍🏻🐾

As with many seaside pubs-a lot of TLC is needed, but if you disregard the environment, the food is good, but a little pricey.

On holiday just up the road at Hoborne, and reviews suggested Smugglers was good - well they weren't wrong! Lovely dining areas, plenty of space but very atmospheric. The atmosphere in the bar was brilliant. I ordered a Sirloin Steak, medium rare with the "full monty" trimmings. It arrived nicely presented, and my knife cut into it as if it... More

We were treated as though we were one of the owners family and all the staff felt the same way too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Keith and all his staff staying in the beautifully refurbished suite. Well done and thank you for a lovely relaxing stay..

Beer batter fish chips n peas, batter ok, fish thin and wet (my guess frozen), chips ok and peas in abundance but hard enough for a pea shooter(11.50)! Starter of prawns and salmon tasteless(7.50). I suppose you can't expect too much a their prices!

My wife and I went to the restaurant with two friends at 7.30pm on a Sat. evening in late June. Whilst buying drinks at the bar I asked if we could eat in half an hour. The waitress checked and said that would be fine. Having chatted with our friends, we went through to find our table only to be... More

The Smugglers Inn offers a cosy bar, a delightful restaurant and accommodation by the sea at Blue Anchor Bay in Somerset. We are on the edge of Exmoor and the Quantock hills and make a perfect base for walking holidays. The West Somerset steam railway runs through Blue Anchor and the station is just along the road at the end of the bay. Blue Anchor beach is a long sandy beach and is just across the road from the Inn.
