Stayed in the Cottage attached to the Smugglers Inn (which was super), and took advantage of the wonderful restaurant and bar there, we'd have liked a longer stay to try more from the menu as the Sea Bass we had was beautiful. We certainly wouldn't hesitate at staying and eating there next time we were in the area.

My husband and I have had meals here at The Smugglers Inn several times, and each visit has been better than before! The manager on site couldn't be more helpful and friendly, and the same goes for the owner. The food is plentiful, tasty and priced right. The ambience is cosy and spacious with several rooms for dining. We are... More

Popped in here to see if they done food. Landlord/manager apologised and said they only had a carvery on. Cool table for 2 please. Had the gammon and I have to say it was outstanding. Would recommend booking to ensure you get a table and are not left disappointed

Food was plentiful and good Quality at the time of writing this review, Price was £9.95 per Adult which is very reasonable On arrival we received a friendly greeting from the Bar staff, who after we confirmed our booked table and directed us to where we were... We visited the Smugglers last night and had a thouroughly enjoyable meal. Firstly I sampled some of the Mango Cider on offer. It would have been rude not to given this is a Camra Real Cider Pub. This was delicious although quite sweet and tastes dangerously unalcoholic so i kept it to the one. For starter the 3 of us... More

We popped in for drinks after taking our dogs to the beach, and had a nice glass of wine in front of the open fire, lovely pub- with a sliding panelled wood door to get in- really cute! Dogs were welcome, and the man behind the bar was friendly and was happy to make lunch recommendations from the menu. Shame... More

We sought out this pub after reading great reviews on Trip Advisor and it was well worth it : delicious Sunday roast and friendly attentive staff who made us welcome and seated us with our grumpy toddler and checked in periodically. Quaint interesting grounds with views of fields of sheep and fish pond, wee pathways etc. Lovely!

Based on reviews here we thought this might be a good place to eat, but the first time we tried it was closed (perhaps we were too early, but it was a Saturday night...) and the second (Sunday) it was serving a very unappealing-looking carvery - we left without eating.

After a brilliant 'Madness weekender', us four girls enjoyed a gorgeous Sunday Lunch here yesterday. Two of us had walked along the beach from Minehead, which took around 90 minutes at a leisurely pace (blame the Pokemon hunter) and sorted out the fuzzy heads. Our plates were piled high with tender flavoursome meat and several veg choices. The veggie amongst... More

The Smugglers Inn offers a cosy bar, a delightful restaurant and accommodation by the sea at Blue Anchor Bay in Somerset. We are on the edge of Exmoor and the Quantock hills and make a perfect base for walking holidays. The West Somerset steam railway runs through Blue Anchor and the station is just along the road at the end of the bay. Blue Anchor beach is a long sandy beach and is just across the road from the Inn.
