If you like a pub and restaurant atmosphere this is ideal for you - good bar area, nice restaurant with good value food - range of beers and drinks which together with a roof terrace bar. No real concerns about this pub - meets all expectations with no loud music - my only suggestion would be to increase stock levels... More

Hi Martin, Thank you for your kind words and we're glad you enjoy your time with us. Regarding the beer situation, unfortunately Real Ale takes time to get changed, as much as I wish it was as easy to change as a lager. But I thank you for the comments and it is something I will look into. Kind Regards,... More

Beautiful pub interior, mixture of modern with a traditional twist. We had the lunch menu, which offered a good selection and very reasonably priced. The portion sizes are just right and very well presented. I am a very fussy customer and I have to say I couldn't fault anything. We will be back to sample the evening menu - can't... More

Went for a drink today with my partner in the Newbury and the prices are probably as high as drinks get in Newbury. The whole place seems to be quite filthy with alcohol down walls, dirty carpets and floors, dirty glasses and the balcony was trashed with cigarette butts and dirt. This place was once pristine and great but no... More

This is one of my favourite places to go in town, midweek you can have a quiet lunch or dinner with the girls and the staff are very friendly and attentive, the food fantastic is always good. On a Saturday night the restaurant is bustling with people downstairs but if you head upstairs to the cocktail bar you have a... More

The food was nice but not amazing. They also tried to over-charge me and made it really hard to get a refund. The staff stand around chatting rather than help customers. It's a cool place, but staff treat you like you're lucky to be there. Overall, not worth the price (fillet steak £28).

Kas was amazing. She is possibly the best employee and I have ever come across and is the best representative of this pub. She embodies everything great about this place.

this top class restaurant is combined with excellent staff and excellent facilities, the terrace/cocktail bar area upstairs means you have the best of both, fine dinning and lounge bar downstairs, music and fun upstairs.

Having decided to go for lunch on Bank Holiday Monday - we walked around Newbury and settled on The Newbury for our food. The Service was very good and attentive but the food was a real let down. How The Newbury can charge £ 14 each for the burgers we received is astonishing. The Buns were burnt, the meat overcooked... More
