SHOCKING Went for lunch - check in was painless and efficient sadly from there it went south Eventually was asked if I would like a drink ordered advised the tattooed waiter on delivery of my beer I was having lunch please run a tab -...no problem sir. 15 minutes later I asked for a menu was told it’s on the blackboard- would have been nice to have been told that on arrival. Tried to get a second drink - bearded barman had his back to the customer side and was too busy chatting to the staff and checking out the female waitresses backsides to worry about the customers. Eventually got my beer and when it arrived placed my order- that was it 30 minutes and another beer later still no food people who arrived after me and ordered after me were eating - the same that I ordered- the Sunday roast - I paid for my beer and left - NEVER TO RETURN If you want a meal go somewhere elseMore

An ideal place to stop for a drink and bite to eat beside the canal and lock. Very good COVID planning but still remained friendly and personal service.

Met friend for lunch. Met at door by staff member and contact details taken. Tables distanced and floor well marked with one way system. Ordered the fish finger sandwich which was disappointingly greasy. Would visit again but choose something else from menu !!! Staff were...all very professional and courteousMore

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Lock Stock and Barrel. We really wanted outdoor seats but it was busy so initially we were sat inside...well we didn't even finish our initial drinks before a lovely member of staff led us to a great table outside!...Yup, even on a busy Saturday evening the staff made sure we were happy. The food was really good: everything sounded yummy and I decided to go for the veggie green lentil curry, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I think the rice was particularly well done. I tried my partner's chips and wow - they were fantastic (I was still happy with my choice though). But I think the biggest praise should go to the staff- they are polite, attentive and delightful!More

If you’re planning on eating - check they have food! We turned up on a Wednesday evening, a table that had been book over a week in advance for dinner, to find that more than half their already reduced menu wasn’t available. This was incredibly...disappointing. They said they were having supply issues because of Covid (that excuse again) so had ran out of things. I’m sorry I don’t accept that, they know what tables they have booked, so surely they know how much food they need - I think it’s down to poor planning and management their end. We walked out in the end and ate at another local established - which funnily enough was busier but managed to have everything available on their menu.More

We have visited this pub 4 or 5 times for the past few years and this years first visit was extremely disappointing. The chicken burger was dry, the bun was burnt and no ketchup or mayonnaise due to delivery issue. Our daughters meal was dry...and over cooked. We went down to Tesco and bought some pudding for our daughter as she was disappointed. The limited menu is a great idea, but put together with profit as the key objective. I would have thought Fullers would use the support from the Government as a way to attract new customers and give them the best meal possible. Alas they are looking for profit over customer satisfaction. We didn’t get asked if everything was ok. I didn’t want to complain as the staff were desperate to make the pub COVID safe, however they didn’t ask for a phone number or e-mail address. I did complete the survey on the pubs website, including my e-mail and phone number expecting a response.More

Guy on the door was very helpful as was the waiter. However, they had no wine glasses or Malbec ! Waiter was very apologetic and looked a bit embarrassed. Food was very average. Offered us a free round of drinks which was appreciated. Maybe we...just picked a bad day and have been there previously and had a great experience.More

Great spot over looking the canal. Whilst I enjoyed a nice pint of London Pride my wife did not enjoy her cider. Yes there is a large selection of fruit drinks but real apple cider choice was very limited. Fish and chips was good. Service...was fine location is by far the best thing. If you got some Bulmers, Thatchers or Stowford I would definitely drop by again otherwise we will give it a miss.More

We visited the LSB on their first day of opening after lockdown. We were very impressed with the way social distancing was handled and by the obvious cleanliness of the place. We both ate fish and triple cooked chips which were excellent. The beer and...the wine were excellent as well. We were nervous about our first experience of dining out beforehand but it was a very enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very well briefed on the current situation. Congratulations Naomi Walledge and all your staff.More
