What a really nice hotel, comfortable well priced, food absolutely gorgeous, beds very comfy staff very friendly, they are slowly doing more rooms up with good quality furnishings dining room needs some attention to the decor otherwise we will return well done.

The dining room was fully booked on both nights that I was at the hotel so booking is essential. The portions are generous and my selection from the least expensive menu (Two courses £24.50) was perfectly cooked and presented. I followed this with the cheese platter (£5.95) which was served with grapes, chutney, and celery. The bar can become full... More

We visited with friends in September and had a. Very nice meal, good welcome on arrival, bar area is very nice for pre dinner drink. Good table in the resturant, food was good, quite large portions, nice presentation. Reading other reviews food quality can be variable but it was lovely when we dined there. Well what can I say after booking a table on a Saturday evening for 8 pm we arrived to a nice ride up the grounds which were very well maintained And all was looking good until we arrived through the front door we had to walk around most of the downstairs rooms And there was no one there in reception... I recently stayed at Wrea Head Hall and ate in the restaurant on a couple of nights. Very slick operation with good food, presented beautifully, in a very nice dining room. But the food is quite rich and possibly quite high in salt, judging by how thirsty I was after each meal. Despite this, a nice experience and definitely an... More

The food here is amazing, local produce cooked to perfection, beautifully presented and the chef very accommodating, very willing to add or take away ingredients that you don't like. Cooked to perfection meat was well cooked and not served pink or red but properly cooked but still juicy and succulent the chef's expertise and the quality shine through, thoroughly enjoyable.

There was a bit of a mix up as our reservation had gone astray, however the maitre'd couldn't have been more helpful to put it right. The setting is wonderful, a real historical hall sympathetically converted to a hotel and restaurant. The food was all very good, service equally so. Good produce, cooked and presented very well. Decent value. Would... More

We went for the indulgence menu and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend eating in if you are staying at Wrea Head Hall

turned up 5 minutes past 2 - told they stopped serving lunch, which is fine but really didnt need the patronising attitude, and really can they not provide a sandwich or something at 5 minutes past - very unwelcoming, and wont be gracing them again with my custom, plenty of other places in the area
