Well worth leaving the High Street to find this pub. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food and drink is very good.

It's yet another half hearted effort of hospitality in the lovely town of Sidmouth. The pub interior is just about acceptable, customer service below par and the outside drinking areas are a disgrace, this is even when there bathed in beautiful sunshine (They could have appeared much worse if this wasn't the case)!!! I'm struggling to suggest somewhere else in... More

Friendly staff, great clientele, tasty Youngs beer. Everything a good town pub should be. Avoid all other pubs in the town

We arrived just before chef was due to finish, which wasn't a problem. We enjoyed a variety of sandwiches, lasagne and fish and chips. Hit the spot!

Its not a large pub and we had the last table even though it was early evening so best to book ahead if you can. It is not far from the sea front and there are three free car parks very close by (free after 6pm) Immaculate presentation of the meals, side salad was all cruchy fresh and had "the... More

Called in for evening meal whilst on holiday. Dining area is a bit cramped but OK. Varied menu and prices not too expensive. Meals were OK but nothing special. Disappointing vegetables, seemed like usual frozen mix.

A proper pub serving good unpretentious food and well kept beers. Helpful staff. Definitely worth seeking out.

Recommended by the b&b we were staying in ...and it certainly lived up to its recommendation. Real step back in time ,lots of locals ..... So you knew it must be good ...service was good, and the menu choice was really extensive ....as you would expect fish dishes were on the menu....plus the specials on the board ....reasonable prices ....worth... Visited this pub having been recommended by the owner of the nearby B&B where we were staying for the night whilst on a walking holiday. The place does not look overly welcoming from the outside, but bit of a tired town centre pub. In spite of this we went inside and were greeted by friendly staff behind the bar. The... More

My favourite pub in Sidmouth for drinks. Relaxed friendly atmosphere in nice surroundings. Food is average but we go for the drink!
