Eating here is a pleasure. A relaxed, friendly atmosphere where the staff make you feel most welcome. Lovely selection of food, nicely presented and cooked to perfection. Some of us had the goat's cheese en croute for starters, absolutely delicious! The local Balmoral bread is very tasty too. Always look forward to coming here for a meal when we are... More

Invited to dinner by friends. Having been a couple of years ago, we arrived in trepidation! What a turn-around. They really have made a big effort to improve things. Everything was absolutely top notch.

In two weeks of travelling this is the first time I have been disappointed in the food I've had. The food wasn't *bad* but was extremely disappointing considering the price. It was perhaps one (slightly generous) step up from pub food at 3 times the cost. Go to another restaurant in town at least the pricing in honest for what... More

We had a wonderful meal here, midweek, the hotel is in a lovely setting and although in the town feels like countryside as it backs onto the gold course with good views to the hills beyond. It was a menu with good choices and above and beyond the standard items that are available in most places I had a well... More

Food was excellent. Lovely dishes, well presented. Good choice that made it difficult to decide. Portions were a bit meagre for hungry hillwalkers though!

We are holidaying in the area and was looking for a nice restaurant tonight. Well, we took the advice of fellow reviewers and went to the restaurant at the Glen Lui hotel. What a great recommendation ! The starter of crayfish with loch fyne smoked salmon was devine, the fillet steak was soooo tasty and the sticky toffee pudding was... More

The Glen Lui is in a lovely setting with a view from the restaurant to die for. A long lawn with a distant background of pine trees and hills (mountains) home to Highland Deer. If you are lucky enough as we were to have clear sunny skies the view is stunning. My wife and I had dinner at the Glen... More

We had a lovely evening at Glen Lui . The staff were very attentive and made us feel special. The meal was excellent. I had the lamb and husband had chicken and haggis. The sweet was to die for also. Would go back in a heartbeat. Well done Glen Lui.
