We were staying in the area and found this wonderful pub whilst looking for a good place to eat. We did ring and booked in advance which I would advise. Every meal that came out looked great. I had chicken and bacon salad which was...huge and delicious. My partner had the steak pie with fabulous homemade chips. The pie was also amazing. Really welcoming pub with friendly staff. We will definitely return when in the area again.More

Stopped for a post work drink and starters. Had the best Calamares we have had in the UK. Fresh that day and cut and cooked in pepper batter. Had the battered prawns with rice to complement. Combined with excellent hosts, perfectly kept Great Corby real...ale and the obligatory G&T for my favourite wife, a memorable stop. We will be back, we only live 5 miles away!More

I thoroughly recommend an evening meal at this local pub/eatery. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived by the owners and they took their time to explain fully what was available on the menu. The menu was varied and offered a good choice of...meals. Service was excellent. The food was well presented, promptly and was hot and delicious. Five star rating without a doubt.More

Visited this Sunday lunchtime for our wedding anniversary. Friendly welcome by the barman and staff. Good choice on the menu, we had king prawns and the mushrooms to start then the lamb for our main course which was lovely and tender. Staff attentive and asked...if everything was okay and if you want more drinks. Price reasonable for good quality food an service. We'll be back :-)More

What a lovely little treasure of a pub. This is a classic traditional pub which still boasts many features of its heritage. A family of 9 of us including the kids visited and it didn’t disappoint. The standards and the service were excellent throughout. The...Corby real ale was delicious and the steak and ale pie is one of, if not the best I’ve ever had but the key lime cheesecake is to die for and the winner for me. Alex was a fantastic host and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the prices very reasonable. If only I could give it 10 stars!More

Yet again, a first class meal. It was Burns night, and my partner had the haggis, neeps and tatties, which she said was superb! I had the steak fajitas - beautiful! Some review's on trip advisor complain about high prices, but they forget about the...high quality of the food, and about the high standard of service from all the staff - You can't buy a Jaguar for a Ford Fiesta price... Looking forward to seeing you soon.More
