Really good fish. Nice batter and good curry sauce. You cannot have a fish & chips and bad curry. Well this place delivers.

Every time we call into Carlisle if we have chance we call into The Fryery, the food is fresh cooked and of a high standard and the staff are very friendly and professional and at the end they always offer you a thank you for going in and dinning which gives it that personal touch and makes you want to... We make a 70 mile round trip to Carlisle almost every week to enjoy the great food and excellent service at the Fryery. A traditional fish and chip shop with tea, bread and butter, plus lots if choice for those who are more adventurous!

We called in here for a quick takeaway chippy tea. The manners of the man in here was the first thing we both commented on, I don't think we have been anywhere with manners as good!!! Fish and chips were great, and a good size!!! Throughly enjoyed them!! We will be back!! Well done the fryery!!!!

Arriving in Carlisle after a long day's walk on Hadrian's Wall, fish and chips were needed. Having Googled "best fish and chips in Carlisle" I found The Fryery. Sadly, it was nearly 6pm and the Closed sign was on the door. I was about to walk away dejectedly when I was welcomed in with the offer of a freshly cooked... More

Quite simply the best fish and chips I have ever had. Huge portion, all crisp and non-greasy and delicious and hot. Restaurant is small but spotlessly clean and pleasant, nice smiley friendly staff. Menu is fish and chips, plus scampi, sausages, steak pie, a few other options.....ie if you're looking for something more complicated, don't come. But if you want... More

Nice place, clean and staff lovely. Meal was hot and didn't wait to long to receive it. Found it a bit pricey to come often but we will be back again.

Tasty food great service, and all in a nice clean restaurant. I have reviews this place before( no pun intended) and will probably do so again because any visitor to Carlisle that enjoyed good old fashioned fish and chips needs to know about the fryery. Please try you will not be disappointed!
