I've only been here a few times, this little place is a hidden gem - if you didn't know where it was, you could quite easily pass it without knowing what you're missing. The staff here are very welcoming, they are quick to settle you down and water you. In no rush to make you order, it's all comfortably timed... More

We actually ate at the adjoining 21. We initially were seated outside but the tree sap was intrusive. So we moved inside. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We both had the bagel with prawn and Marie sauce with a salad and potato chips. And a Dandilion and burdock drink boy did that send me back 30 years.

Went for quick lunch with wife and toddler. Staff were accommodating and friendly. Food was ok but quite standard menu more like a basic pub range and quality. Venue was pleasant.

After looking for places to eat in Colchester that served Gluten free I was advised Timbers was the place to go and I wasn't disappointed. The restaurant was very small but cosy the menu wasn't expensive but the quality of food was outstanding and the gluten free range was surprisingly good. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the price... More

I took my family here for breakfast after my previous visit for lunch a few weeks ago. We sat at a table and were ready to order and it was only at that point we were asked to move as the table we had chosen was reserved. No reservation sign on the table when we sat down, it would of... More

We have been here on a few occasions now and always for breakfast or brunch. Being vegetarian it can be an issue getting a decent breakfast. Timbers have the vegetarian breakfast and brunch spot on. Good portion size and absolutely delicious. The staff are attentive and friendly and the prices are reasonable. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a cooked... More

After doing some serious shopping in the shops of colchester we decided to try this little place. our waiter was quick, good was good and very fairly priced. Only "problem" was the old building where the floor was extriemly uneven, but it adds to the charm... Will come back if we end up in Colchester again.

Saturday lunchtime with a two year old is sometimes difficult with a buggy as well. Timbers accommodated us very well and some people were even kind enough to offer us their table which had more space for a highchair. Great menu, lots of choice and all home made. We had jacket potatoes and toasted sandwiches on our table, all of... More

I can honestly say the food and the Team here are fantastic. Its so lovely to see that they have their elderly regulars and treat them as family. I cant praise this restaurant enough and have always felt so welcome in here and the food is to die for! If you fancy a reasonably priced meal and a warm welcome... More
