Really enjoyed every visit I have made to this lovely cosy pub with fine dinning food. I have previously visited with my girlfriends and the portion size was just right for our appetites. After such great food I wanted my hubby to try but I was worried that he would not be full so we added a starter the choice... More

This is very superior pub food. To have each dish impeccably cooked and served is unusual these days. This occasions some delay and so be ready for it. Be prepared to relax and enjoy. For the quality, the prices are very good.

Visited on Friday night and restaurant wasn't particularly busy but we did wait quite a time for our food to arrive and we had to remind to staff that we had ordered drinks which we were still waiting for. Food was good, belly pork with crackling, duo of duck and gammon - all good. Sticky toffee pudding was a dream.

Drove past on way to hotel. Looked tidy from outside. Came back in evening and was great food and staff really nice 😀 v friendly and genuine. Thanks. Food great and beer too. Timothy Taylor and Black sheep. Overall fab chance encounter at the Three Houses with the pink pickled eggs! Awesome for a southerner who has never seen before.

Tasteless boiled beef "stew/pie" , shockingly slow service and at times rude! The mains took 20 minutes after our starters were cleared and the creme anglaise was like water

Back for our third visit and not disappointed. We were met by warm and friendly staff both in the restaurant and at the bar and quickly sat at our table. For starters we ordered halloumi and the chicken and chorizo skewers... These arrived promptly and were both gorgeous.. The halloumi was cooked perfectly. It really struck us how well everything... I did say on my last review of this pub that it will not be the last time we dine here, so for my wife and I to dine a further three times is an indication of how good each experience has been. I would also recommend 'the 3's club' loyalty card which can give discount on drinks and food.... More

My husband and I fancied Sunday lunch out and after reading the great reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to give it a try. We've lived in Wakefield for over 10 years and never been to The Three Houses before, instead just drove past it and never gave it a thought. Well, wished we had in the past as I have... More
