Food was amazing piping hot and tasty ...on a really cold winters day just what you needed. Although this pub is very small the staff are very friendly and you're always sure of a warm welcome. Was a little disappointed in the mulled cider but otherwise all good.

My boyfriend and I were very lucky to get a table by just walking in. I would recommend pre booking to guarantee a table. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The room was packed and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. Then the food arrived! It was amazing. Best sea food for miles, cooked... More

We had a meal for two. Excellent choice of locally sourced fish. The staff could not be more helpful. Strongly recommend booking as they have limited tables. Also they are about half the price of places with "names"

Fresh, home-cooked fish. Disappointed no oysters. Smoked haddock fillet truly delicious. Smoked haddock pie had a few bones - served still, bubbling hot with melted cheese on top.

Great seafood cooked really well! Reasonable priced too! A good old fashioned pub that hasn't fallen foul to the modernisations that strip the soul out of many a pub. The staff are really friendly and very attentive. I would recommend this place to everyone, a real gem.

We went here for our Valentines evening meal. We were so glad we had booked as all of the tables were taken. The atmosphere was lovely. The food was excellent, very tasty and beautifully presented. The service we had was friendly and nothing too much trouble. What a lovely evening we had at the Poole Arms.

This is a real pub with a menu that is a seafood lovers dream (sorry for the vegetarians though!). The food is wonderfully cooked and served with a smile. The portions are plentiful and the prices are proper pub prices. Not for the romantics but a real astronomic delight.

We visited in January and enjoyed a lovely, freshly cooked lunch outside in the winter sunshine. Young ladies behind the bar were very friendly and chatty, providing advice on the menu and local ales. Tip: if the weather is good, try and sit outside and soak up the ambience of the quayside position.

Great atmoshere, good real ale and beers. A good Dorset locals watering and eating establishment . Best in Winter and Spring as there too many grockles in Summer :-)
