If it's fish you want this is the place...excuse the pun. Moved to Poole 4 months ago and eaten in here quite a few time...slowly making my way through the superb menu and specials board...

This restaurant is quite small but with a good buzz about it. The seating area is quite cramped when all tables are taken as they were when we visited. The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and efficient and the choice of fish available was varied. The starters were well presented and the mains looked huge on the plate. There... More

During our recent visit to Poole we were fortunate to try the food at this pub on the quay. Good selection of fresh fish dishes cooked to order. So good that we ate here again the following night.

lovely fish restaurant in an old setting of poole harbour. Excellent fish and wonderful soup. Service with a smile. Reasonable prices. Informal and friendly and several locals around.

Lovely pub, with a nice friendly atmosphere. The beer was great too. Although we didn't eat, the food that was coming out looked gorgeous.

During the recent Vintage festival, we wanted a break from the busy crowd and the outdoor tables at Poole Arms were perfect. Drinks and food were served reasonably quickly considering how crowded it was. Our food was cooked to perfection and it was a great experience overall.

Nice old pub with lots of old photos and feeling like an old haunt. Right on the front which is handy, but tourity. The food was a good attempt but not great.

We had been dropped by the Poole Pottery and wanted somewhere for lunch. Along the quay side are many restaurants and pubs most belonging to chains. However, we went for the Poole Arms as I had remembered eating there a long time ago. Not my choice of green tiles for the outside of the building but it makes it stand... More

You can't get better fish dishes than here but the service is dreadful. It took about 45 minutes for our meal to arrive. Food was worth the wait but its a shame the service is always so slow.

This pub is a bit quaint with some unexpected assets but the overall impression is very positive. It's unusual to find a real seafood restaurant with such a wholehearted devotion to offering a menu of very good fare; this one. Service was good, the beers on offer were very good especially the St Austell 'Proper Job' IPA. We would certainly... More
