Came here with my boyfriend after seeing the great reviews on trip advisor and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service couldn't be faulted. We both had the pizza which I recommend as well as the cheesecake for pudding. Will definitely be back.

Thank you Chef for our fabulous starter of ravioli and my main course of veal, I have tasted no better food in Italy. Lovely evening and thank you to Chico and Mez for making us... More

Quick and simple review. We went here as the reviews are good and we had always been intrigued as to what really happened in this little place on Ashley Road. Service was good from when we walked in. Food was as good as we had hoped. Lasagne could do with a little more of a kick/flavour if I had to... More

Far from the swish interiors of the large chains, Al Gatto Nero is a little more intimate and dated. Service was very friendly (albeit a little on the slow side) and food was both plentiful and delicious. The wine-list was limited, but the Chianti we chose was a fantastic accompaniment to our meal. We will be returning and certainly recommend... More

A little Italian gem in Poole. Happy I found that place. The food was great. I had been lots of times in Italy so I believe I know a bit about Italian food. The meal I had in Al Gatto Nero was very delicious and it gives such evening a personal touch when the owner himself comes to sit at... More
