Picked up a takeaway from here as a treat and were bitterly disappointed. Firstly the samosas were vegetable when we had ordered lamb, this in itself wouldn't be the end of the world, but the mains were revolting. Both the pasanda and the masala had thick, oily, gelatinous sauces - clearly artificially coloured and horribly sweet. The whole thing tasted... More

Two friends and I decided to pop into The Bombay on Tuesday night which happened to be "Gourmet night" were for £10.99 you get a starter, a main with rice/naan plus a side dish. As a result is was pretty busy but we got a table after a short waitZ Our food was with one exception (greasy onion bhaji) good,... More

Visited with 2 friends. Starter of chicken chaat Was beautiful.... As always. I had ordered chicken tikka for my main, which once I had tried, I sent straight back, and didn't reorder anything in its place as I was put off. The chicken was dry, as though it had been cooked, and then cooked for a second time. It also... More

I have eaten in this place many times and the food was as good as I remembered. They do a deal (as do most other curry restaurants in the area) on a Tuesday 2 courses rice and a side for around £12 which is really good value for money. I did consider marking as average not for the food but... More

Had a shami kebab for starter, smelt disgusting and looked worse and to top it off was delivered to our table by the most unpleasant waiter I've had the displeasure of being served by. Tasted like it looked...ugh For mains we had butter chicken and the hot nepalese lamb dish. Butter chicken looked like it had come out of a... More

Always loved this place. Calm décor and nicely set out inside not cramped but oh dear the food really wasn't good. Nothing was actually 'bad' but all the dishes we ordered were somehow just not right. King prawn dansak was dark brownish red - when usually lentil based dishes are lighter or have a yellow tinge to them. It tasted... More

Not the best curry I've had in Stevenage, service isn't great as you sometimes need to wait for a while before you get served. I would recommend getting a takeaway if your not keen on waiting. Food is average, can get a bit too oily.
