Myself and my family recently moved near the area and was sceptical about the local Indian cuisines near us. We have always been a lover of traditional Indian food and always stuck to the same restaurants. From the minute you walk into the establishment you...are greeted by Jay and Abdul who are both very welcoming and make you feel comfortable immediately. It is a very nice restaurant and you can sit in there for hours easily. The food is by a mile the best authentic Indian food in Ipswich. Really recommend getting the shami kebab and a tikka dhansak. Best place in Ipswich! Make sure you check it out!More

We have been coming here most Friday evenings for 14 years and honestly never had a bad meal. A hidden gem and highly recommend.

We haven't been here for a few years. No particular reason, we just found somewhere we preferred, and where they had regular deals on meals! Well, when our usual place kept sending us cold food and late deliveries we decided to try it again on...the off chance. And I'm glad we did. All three of us had a fantastic Chicken Tikka Balti, perfectly spiced, and full of good-sized chunks of chicken tikka; the special fried rice was subtle and tasty, and the various side veggies were quite good too. Especially the Sag Aloo. The naan bread was a tad sweeter than we would have liked, but the naans were beautifully light and fluffy. And it was better value than our alternative curry house. So we are back in the fold! Well done Alishan. You've improved in every respect! See you again soon!More

After a busy Saturday what could be better that an early evening meal with my family. My two boys age 6 & 12 are not regular participants of Indian food but the more often they try different things the better! The food was great as...always - we are local and will have a takeaway if not sitting in but it's a great place to eat in if you have time! Really good choice of food and there is something for everyone including my less adventurous boys, though they loved the cheese nana and different rice dishes! Have to recommend a bottle or two of Bangla beer to wash down the meal with - very nice!!More

Really lovely restaurant, welcoming staff. Great choice of food which tastes extremely good. Our 2 children enjoyed it. We often have take aways from here too.

Really good service - food was delicious and this was our youngest sons first Indian meal so we were a little apprehensive as to if anything would get eaten! I needn’t have worried as even though he is not keen for spicy food there was...plenty of choice Well worth a visit if you are local !More

Came here on a Thursday evening with a group of friends. Really quiet with only one other table occupied. Seems to have plenty of takeaway business though as the delivery driver seemed busy and quite a few take out visitors. The menu was good with...some nice house specials. I chose the murgh masala. Never had an egg on top of my curry before, really nice tasting. Some others in the group found the food spicier than some other restaurants and said it’s probably not a good place to take a person for their first curry. Service was friendly enough, maybe a little slow between courses. Reasonably priced, a pint of cobra is £4.95. Overall it was a good experience.More
