We had a lovely fish meal here recently. The choice of course differs depending on what has been caught so the menu offers ever changing options. Previously we sat in the cosy downstairs room but this time were in the larger upstairs room. I would have to say I preferred the former. The upper room was rather chilly, the décor... More

We wanted to visit a fish restaurant on a midweek break in Wales and this restaurant had excellent reviews I am so pleased we did visit as food, service, ambience was all really good and at very reasonable prices The wine list is varied and good value and their menu does offer great fish choices but also meats. We booked... More

At the start of our Welsh break we were disappointed with the food on offer....until I read your recommendation for this bistro. It was a great food experience and a reasonable wine list too. The stars of this bistro is fish, but the do serve meat too. All the specials were fish, except onion soup which husband enjoyed.

We had heard about this place for several years from visiting friends and were very happy with our first visit. The food was excellent - best tuna, swordfish we have ever eaten. The creme brulee was also the best we have ever had. Brownies are either good or bad; these were good, very good. And the chef came out to... More

We chose this restaurant based on the generally good reviews. The ambiance of the place (downstairs) was great, the staff friendly and knowledgeable. The seafood (monkfish for myself) was excellent. However, the "French frites" turned out to be half cooked big stodgy mediocre chipper style English/Welsh chips. Hard to believe that an establishment like this, which obviously likes to think... Both the food and service at the Seahorse were excellent. It cost us about £80 for three courses including a bottle of wine, well worth it.

Started with French onion soup which was good but white wine based and a little lacking in rich beefy flavour none the less the onions were tender and sweet and the bread and cheese topping was yummy. My husband started with mussels that were large and juicy full of flavour. I ordered tuna and swordfish with scallops but was told... More
