About
A hidden gem nestled in the charming village of Glanwydden, just outside Llandudno. A true Welsh village pub with low beamed ceilings, lots of wood, crackling log fires in the winter, profusions of colour in the gardens in summer and the warmest of welcomes at all times of the year. The bar is stocked with a good range of cask ales, some local and some from further afield, a well-balanced list of quality wines and an extensive range of quality malts and gins. The oldest part of the pub houses the snug which is popular with locals, the light and airy dining room is a lovely corner for a bite to eat, and the terrace is an ideal spot to catch some summer sun. Booked a table for 2 online, helpful reminders received beforehand of reservation time. Shown to a table & left with menus and the obligatory track & trace form to complete. One of the drawbacks of not being able to go up to the bar is...having to ask staff what beers are on tap - when visiting somewhere new you don’t know what they have do you? Takes a while to get drinks order taken, then another while to catch the eye of waiting staff to get another drink, but that’s the new normal for now and beyond the pubs control. Hubby enjoyed his pint of Bastion so all good. I had lamb shank & hubby ordered the welsh steak burger - both meals very tasty. I was pretty full, but when I noticed they serve Parisella ice cream what was I supposed to do? Had a scoop of Ferrero rocher to finish the meal nicely! Delicious.More

Tough beef and terrible roast potatoes, The foundations of a good Sunday lunch have been ignored at this restaurant. please actually listen to the customers comments and do something about it. a free desert does not fix your problem. I suggest buy better beef, Rib...eye, the right potatoes and cook them properly {see youtube} the lamb shanks have no flavour and dried whilst re heating in the microwave. With a little more care this could be my favourite place to eat in the area The staff and restaurant lovely I would highly recommend but not the Sunday lunchMore

My wife and I along with our dog paid a visit to the Queens Head, phoned to book an outside table as the weather was glorious. The outside seating is first come first served, so we were there by 12:00. I ordered lamb shank and...my good lady ordered a nut roast, both meals were absolutely well cooked, well presented and tasted Devine. The waitress was extremely efficient and courteous, even fetching a bowl of water for the dog. Highly recommended and will go again before we finish our holiday.More

The queen's head is in a prime location, it is walking distance for us which is a bonus. On a summer's evening it is lovely to sit outside We have been twice over the last month, staff very friendly, quick to take order, but after...that slow to get another drink. Both occasions, noone came and asked if we wanted more drinks, definitely losing money, we would have had more but had to flag someone down, so in over 2 hours, managed 2 drinks. Food nice, guys happy with their burgers, linguini looked amazing, I had the chicken ballontine, 2 good portions of chicken, lovely sauce, but a tiny square of potato rosti and 2 asparagus spears, needed more veg, not filling at all. Sticky toffee pudding was amazing...Overall really good and would go back, but we almost canceled 1 visit as a friend said portions were small, on that occasion, we were all happy but as I've just said, last night my meal was not fulfilling, and have someone keeping eyes peeled for empty glasses!More

Along with my husband we had a delicious meal at the Queen’s Head on Friday,4th June early evening. The sticky toffee pudding was scrumptious! The waitress was very pleasant and efficient. We moved from the area six years ago and so when visiting area overnight...the Queen’s Head was the obvious choice to have an excellent meal. We will recommend to family and friends.More

Beautiful, well presented food, generous portions and a good selection of local real ale. Service was prompt and efficient and the ambience was great. Well worth a detour to eat at this gem of a pub.

My wife and I chose to go here for our first meal out in six months due to lockdown restrictions - what a fantastic choice we made. On arrival the staff were pleasant and efficient, showing us straight to our table which was ready despite...us being a little early. The menu gave us a great choice of all courses and the food did not disappoint - beautifully prepared and seasoned and a nice sized portion too. All in all we had a fantastic evening and really enjoyed the look and feel of the place since the refurbishment.More

£5.65 for a pint of beer!!!!!! Don’t get ripped off. Lovely place, staff & food spoilt by crazy beer prices.
