Didn't know what to expect in this seashore town but the main strip restaurants just weren't what we were looking for. Found the CL by accident on our way to the train station and it was exactly what we needed. It was Sunday so the roasts were the specialty. The mussels were outstanding as was the friendly service and suggestions.... More

This is a superb find! Down a little street off the main high street. The meals are the highest standard and the pub itself is big yet cosy and welcoming. Very friendly staff. Professionally run place and we will certainly return although booking may be recommended as it's quite busy being such a hidden gem!

We read about the pub on trip advisor but I could not have imagined any pub Sunday Lunch to be this good. The 3 meat version was served on a platter and was just fantastic. A real must in a town with many eateries to choose from. So good we went back for dinner in the week too.

We had lunch here today and the pies were fantastic and actually looked and tasted home made. Three of us had the chicken pie, two had the steak pie and one had a huge gourmet burger. All the food was great and the presentation was first class. We'll definitely visit again.

Had booked well in advance on receiving recommendations, & was sent a number of emails confirming the reservation. Arrived 5 minutes before our allotted time only to be told our table wasn't quite ready - asked to wait but after 20 minutes, having seen our host supping a pint of beer near the kitchen door I asked if we'd been... Had to book as this is a very popular pub. We loved it here, the food was lovely, the staff were polite and friendly and we enjoyed the surroundings.

We were staying in an Hotel in Chapel Street and found this place by accident when going to Car park. Although only 50mtrs off main road it can't easily be seen but when found it is more then worth a visit. It is Tardis like once through the entrance. The Staff are a fantastic bunch in wonderful surroundings but what... More

8 of us went for an evening meal The staff were very friendly and helpful The food was of good quality, served quickly but slightly overpriced I don't know why, but most meals came with bread and butter which none of us ate

Can be difficult locating good quality 'pub' food in Llandudno but this excellent near gastro pub is always worth seeking out. Excellent atmosphere combining real ale, character, beams & flag floors with great food and service. Situated 200m or so from sea front it can be difficult to find as it's off the main road and behind shops and other... More

I am from Leigh and am no stranger to pies. Having been pretty much brought up on them! However, the steak and ale pie in the cottage loaf was quite frankly amazing. The staff and atmosphere were second to non. I would always recommend this place if you are ever in North Wales. In fact we are pretty much going... More
