Great pub with good beer and food. Love the furniture and decor too! Better then the inner town pubs in Eastbourne.

Found myself in Eastbourne for a few hours recently so thought I'd take a trip down memory lane - The Ship was my local for a couple of years. Lovely warm welcome from the lovely Scott behind the bar and service and atmosphere as superb as ever. Faye and her team do a splendid job in keeping this the best... More

Great food, especially the roast meals on a Sunday. We were out at lunchtime this week and on the spur of the moment decided to go to the Ship for food. It was excellent can recommend the pork belly ! it was as good as I'd had back in December...consistency of quality pays off ! Well done to Chef and... More

Try to write honest reviews whether good or not do good. Having not been here for a year things have definitely changed. 2 prawn baguettes ordered, my usual when coming here... cheap marg used, tasted like stork ( friends words) barely any filling which were skimpy cheap prawns and cheap white clumpy Mayo used... really disappointing. Not the usual I've... More

Fancied trying somewhere different and wish i hadn't. The interior is nice, the staff friendly and the food arrived quickly, what more could you ask for? Unfortunately the food was completely tasteless, we kept adding salt and pepper to our meal but it made zero difference. We had the chicken Sunday roast, was hoping the gravy would liven it up... We haven't been here for about 10 years and upon walking in we were amazed to see it hadn't changed at all, exactly the same layout and same furniture! We went to the bar to order and passed a specials board on the way and chose from that for lunch. I had the pork belly in sweet chilli sauce with... More

Description
A traditional British pub serving a large home made menu, including daily specials and everything from a quick bite to eat to more substantial main course. A great selection of local real ales are available and have won us a place in CAMRA's Real Ale Guide 2012. Venture beyond the bar to our conservatory restaurant, looking out over our large terrace and garden where you can eat, drink and enjoy the unpredictable, yet wonderful Eastbourne sunshine.
