Pleasant meal, reasonable prices. Cold November evening so pretty empty but staff nice. Would be a good place to visit on a summer evening.

For a couple of travellers who enjoy Belgian beer, food and something different, we were delighted to find this restaurant on the seafront directly opposite Harry Ramsden's. Even better if you are a hotel guest with an Eastbourne Hotel Assoc. Passport giving discounts and other special offers at a large number of restaurants, including The Belgian Café. We went on... We ate here as a couple on 19/11/16. We ordered frogs legs and oysters for starters. We both ordered mussels for our main. The food was well presented and tasted very good. The choice of mussel dishes was awesome. The staff didn't seem to know much about the menu. The beer is too expensive! The place had some massive cobwebs... More

Was here for the weekend and as England was playing Scotland we decided to watch the football here. It was a strange feeling watching the football while a jazz band played(Football was on a french channel so the volume didn't need to be on).We felt a bit rude cheering when England scored due to the poor guys playing their music.But... Had a wonderful meal having booked on-line which was easy and convenient. They have an extensive menu and I'd love to return to try out more. The décor of the cafe is a little weird and must have been a themed establishment at some point which could do with being changed to add a better atmosphere.

Fantastic Mussels. Great relaxed seafood restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. Hot chocolate was wonderful on a freezing day. Will walk and try the excellent range of Belgain beer and lager next time.

If you love seafood this is the place to go in Eastbourne. Fabulous mussels in a variety of sauces. They do other food for the non seafood lovers though. Try the French onion soup it's really good. It's very simple French cafe type styling with a good atmosphere and great views of the lovely Eastbourne prom

We visited the Belgian cafe when staying at the Lions Mansion hotel, it's just a 2 minute walk. Service was good and had a relaxed atmosphere, we didn't feel rushed at all. Good menu and food was very fresh and tasted amazing.
