My daughter and I decided to try out some seafood at the end of our day out in Eastbourne, coming from Hong Kong, which is renowned for its seafood, it had alot to live upto. Most of the menu was related to mussels. This was a shellfish that I did not eat that often so we ordered a nordic mussel... More

Went for a wander after coming to Eastbourne with my fiance for the weekend came across this place there seemed quite a nice vibe on the outside there was a singer and guitarist entertaining customers on the outside benches and tables so we went in for a drink we were given a drinks menu and sat at a table. The... More

Stopped for lunch, busy but served by very pleasant staff very quickly, good variety focused on fish dishes but with meat and veggie choices. Brew their own beer on site in traditional Belgian fashion, excellent. Waitress pointed out the 10% service charge was optional and could be removed, personally I'd have given a larger tip. Watched the Tour de France... More

It was apparently Lobster week and the specials were "Lobster", we were given the specials menu and told that the 2main courses of Lobster was off as they didn't have any because it was Monday! We chose a mixed fish dish with muscles, salmon, prawns and cod in it. However we received Moules Marniers! The head waiter immediately exchanged for... More

This place means so well and in some areas succeeds. There is a disorganisation that is a bit fawlty towers, but the food we had was good. They brew their own beer at a monstrous 6.7% which is ok and the beer serving hut outside is a great idea but chaotic. Great location and mussels nice.

I love to try beers from around the world. We visited here before and loved it. Then we sat outside on the terrace and ordered many drinks from the amazing selection. Although the service was slow, we were happy. On this recent visit, the service was quicker and the drinks selection was still amazing. We decided to order food this... More

Visited here on the same night that France were playing in the euro finals, so the atmosphere was loud but very friendly. Although every table was taken by French and Belgium locals, the service and quality of food was never in question. Highly recommended.

Went on a Saturday about midday. Was greeted by a young man (who stood far too close - within 12" of my husbands face), who asked "what do you want?" I very nearly turned right round and walked out. Felt intimidated and a nuisance. We were told sit anywhere so chose a nice table next to the Windows. Sticky menus... More

I visited this establishment last year and remember having a decent enough meal so my partner and I returned this year. Sadly our experience was very disappointing. It took a while to be served, (there was no apology for this), and when we eventually did receive our food I was surprised by the poor quality. I had asked for the... More
