Bad service, didn’t respect customer. We had reservation and came with hungry kids to enjoy eating at the restaurant but when we arrive we surprised at he canceled our reservation and talking to us bad and not respect
The food was extremely good and the service and atmosphere were great too! 10/10 would recommend (we got the Butter chicken with garlic and cheese naan bread)
Having read soo many good reviews I went to try this. At entry was told no tables only a corner place with a chair. I was extremely hungry so accpeted. After waiting for 45 minutes a cold biryani turned up. I asked them for a...hot dish, another 20 minutes later. Hot rice but surprise, surprise no chicken at all in biryani! I just lost it at this, no waiter coming even on calling so I went to reception to ask what a joke was this? I was told this is a side dish biryani so just rice without anything (When ordering I had confirmed twice with the waiter that it was chicken biryani and was assured yes). I just walked out at this, after waiting for more than an hour to be served plain rice in name of biryani is just too much!! Being a desi I know exactly what is the definition of biryani, I think its high time this restuarant learns something as well, instead of marketing on fusion food!! Not recommended!!!More
The naan bread took me to a different universe. I highly recommend the chili cheese bread. I ordered tikka masala, and asked for the spicy one. It was so spicy that my eyes started to leak, but it was tears of joy. I will definitely...come back here. It is my new favorite restaurant.More
Went there with work. Really tasty starters and main course. Rich indian food. Really nice staff. Had a great time.
A relaxing place with nice ambience and great food. Nice staff also. They have tandori and curries. Most of them you can choose chicken, lamb or végétarien. I like asian food, and this was one of the best I had in weeks.
Love the food from Zouq, however, they only have one vegan option on their meny. As the times changes, they should too. Evolve their menu and develop more vegan friendly options. Other than that, I recommend it, and the food was amazing!
Thank you for the feedback:)
The atmosphere of the place was enticing as soon as we got inside, with the open kitchen and the big windows. We sat on the 2nd floor, that has a weird fake cherry tree. The Desi music fits with the place. I loved the descriptions...of the food on the menu. We started with a Samosa Chaat, surprising that it came in a thick sauce. So tasty. The Garlic Cheese Nan was amazing. The Byrjiani had a great mix of spices.More
Thank you:)
It’s been a while since last visiting town and I was a little worried to see the new look Zouq: What if they have sacrificed the food for the decor and/ or raised their prices? I needn’t have worried. The food is still great and...still at a good price. The tandoor oven makes their breads lovey and the meats are still being grilled in an open kitchen. The curries are also first class with suitable spice (for Norway). It’s really nice to see a quality restaurant thriving.More
Thank you:)
We are regular customers of this restaurant and never got disappointed. Authentic Pakistani-Indian intense dishes, fully aromatic, and tasteful. Great!
Tusen takk:)
Wonderful food. Great service. Great vegetarian options. Beautiful presentation and great seasoning. Fresh and high quality. We visited when the place was completely gull, but they still managed to get us an amazing meal in just 15 mins. The only downside is that the restaurant...can get very noisy. One of the best places to eat in Stavanger.More
Thank you:)
Very good dishes with sauce. Good and relatively quick service, for reasonable prices - not cheap. I would go another time.
Thank you:)
We ate on a Saturday evening at 7pm. Place was really busy. We were early, and had to wait (our fault) but table was ready at the agreed time. Could see from the clientele that this was popular with people from nations where they know...their curries so had high expectations and was not disappointed. Food had great taste. If you want native Pakistani/Indian spiciness then need to ask, otherwise it will be “Norwegian spicy”. Service was prompt. Nans were excellent. Roti was thicker than my preference though. Be aware that at time of writing Zouk does not have an alcohol license, but don’t worry the Mango Lassi is good. Who needs a beer? Book ahead. Good taste. Great value. Parking right outside as well if driving. Going back for sure.More
Thank you so much for the kind words:)
Nice place with open kitchen. Big menu with a lot of options. Great food and friendly staff. We ate ther on friday evening, constant rush from 20 to 22. Recommend to sit in front of the kitchen and look how chefs are working.
Thanks for the kind words:)
