XO Steakhouse - not an option for the next visit

I have visited XO Steakhouse for a dinner. The menu contains as well as different types of hamburgers, as selection of meat. There is a rich selection beers, but not of soft drinks. I have ordered ribbs. I habe been promissed that they have been grilled. Unfortunatly I cant confirm that, based on my experience. I have found them as steamed and then dried. For drink: 1 bottle of Hansa Eple most- alright 0.33 prefabricated drink, not local. Price: 59kr (approximatly 5.9 Euro/USD) This dinner cost: 467.5 kr (approximatly 46.75 Euro / USD) HC: you may access the main floor, but no chance to use WC, as its located on the floor under and there is not access by elevator. You will be probebly placed by the main door, meaning you will get cold windshowers by doorman when he opens the door. Doorman is used to contact pedestrians, start chatting and ask you to come in. Personal experience: expencive, easy food slightly poor served. Its not an option for the next visit.

Hi and thanks for taking the time in writing us a review. Our steaks and ribbs are all grilled in own, so maybe your steak wasn`t grilled enough and it might have felt steamed and dried. This is average. Possible this is the «normal» price level i Stavanger. But if compare normal price standard i norway - this is in the high end. Wrong sauce blend, should be probvance blend ro lamb. But we got a noen of bernaise and pepper souce, go figure. salty potato sticks with Shell, where is the Shell? Medium min=medium, average locations. Dirty glasses hanging over the bar. But if this is the Stavanger way to go its probobly ok.

We had a very nice dinner at XO steakhouse. We had fish soup which was very good. It had a very interesting spiced pepper corn ( red ????). I prefer it without spice but that is me. We also had the spare rib appetizer which was good. Very nice selection of wine, beer and sprits.

Yesterday we went for a family lunch in Xo Steakhouse and all the family members’s tastes were satisfied. From delicious fish soup all the way to fabulous burgers. We also had the best service from the owner of this cozy restaurant.

Had good food with friends. Nice staff. And my medium raw steak was PERFECT. It just melted in my mouth. Wife had spear ribs. Yum Wife’s friend had deer. And her daughter had fish&chips We will definitely come back.

If you are looking for a place where the employees probably get randomly picked from the street at the time of opening, what you order is not what you get, the food and especially wine is ridiculously overpriced, wine regardless of the price is the simplest and most basic of all, menu not reflecting the food on the plate, no service unless you basically drag them to your table, this is the place for you!

Hoax! Stay away from this restaurant. As we sat down we got a colorful paper booklet of a menu, which should alarm us. Just like a mexican taco house where the knowledge of the food is limited to an extend that you need pictures to understand what you get… One thing that took us by surprise was that the prices were extremely high! So high that you got curious of how good this restaurant could be?? 20$ for a pint of beer??? 100$ for a steak, plus another 10$ for the potato?? It was a scam. The steak was ok, but nothing extra of the ordinary. Big Horn steakhouse, a Norwegian chain will give you the same for less than half the cost… The top of the scam was a non-alcoholic beer that they needed 10 dollars for..! Stay away, prices are terrible and we feel ripped of. 40 us dollars for a burger???

Definitely!!! A good option to eat in stavanger. It is not cheap but the food is good quality and tasty so the price is perfect. The fries are really great. The places is nice and service good.

This was the worst dining experience in all of Norway. We were charged $350USD for three burgers and 5 beers. After disputing the bill (which didn’t add up with the menus price’s) the restaurant called the police to have us removed before resolving our dispute. Norway is expensive but this place only exists to screw tourists.
