Great typical place in an old warehouse. Nice atmosphere, good service and great Norwegian gastronomy. Ideally located on the Harbour, the place to be at night. Quiet and pretty well decorated. Absolutely to discover.

Very typical Norwegiana ambiance. The entrecôte is a nice choice as well as the ribs. A bit surprised by the presence of whale in the menu... But it is apparently common in this country. Nice restaurant to have dinner

This is a great place with outdoor seating and a water view on the Skagen harbor in Stavanger. The food and service were wonderful and the people-watching while we enjoyed our soup and beer was a wonderful way to spend an hour on a lovely afternoon.

Traditional wooden building in the center of Stavanger! Good selection of beer and very good quality live music! The place is huge and it feels like you're in an old Norwegian boat! Perfect environment for a beer in the town!

Its a beautiful building with a lot of atmosphere and history so a great experience. The food was very good, rather than exceptional. Its expensive but its Norway so standard.

I visited this restaurant last week with my wife whilst on a cruise, we stopped here for lunch after some shopping. My wife had the mussels and I had the whale. I was a bit apprehensive about it, but it was delicious. Washed down with a bottle off white wine the bill came to around 750 NOK. The service was... More

Stopped in for a quick lunch to warm up on a rainy day in Stavanger. Building was very old and interesting. Made you feel like you stepped back in time. We both had the fish soup, which was excellent, served with bread. A little expensive, but everything is in Forest

Only trout available, the waitress could inform us after we had spent time on the menu choice; settled at the table, with a local beer. Mussels and the the atmosphere indoor was our reason for picking the place among lot of alternatives. Quick service, ordinary meet dishes to a to high price, not very interesting red wine of the house.... More

A rainy day in Stavanger... We went ambled about the town, then by bus on to the Botanical Gardens (in the rain) and felt we were due a late lunch. We picked this restaurant because it had pleasant indoor seating and is right at the harbor. One of us had excellent steamed mussels in cream sauce, the other a large... More
