At Milk Bar & Lounge you find Ålesunds most unique bar situated on an old ferry port in the heart of the city. In a stylish and refreshing atmosphere you can enjoy the magnificent view over Brosundet and the surrounding islands whilst enjoying a refreshing drink. Went searching for cocktails throughout town. Many said they did cocktails but when we looked at the menu they weren’t really cocktails just different gins and vodkas. But when we went to Milk they had an extensive list of cocktails and wow the girl behind the bar knew what she was doing. Superb!! And a reasonable price too compared to beer and wine. I can recommend the Bahama Mama, Pina Colada, Cherry Mojito, and the Mai Tai but I’m sure they are all great. Unfortunately, or fortunately it’s our last night so can’t go back for more. Nice modern look and feel inside with a good view of the harbour where you can watch the comings and goings of boats.
It opened at 6pm which seemed a little late but we’ll worth it.

We were recommended Milk as a place for a late night drink by our taxi driver following a late arrival into Alesund, and we found it to be a great bar on the harbour.
Arriving just before midnight, we were warmly greeted by the staff and told that they would serve until about 1/1.30am, so we had a drink each - 4 beers, 1 Gluten Free, 1 Peroni, 2 mango IPAs came to £36(!).
Great music, excellent atmosphere even at 1am, and cold beer were very welcome for our first night in Alesund.
They had some glass in the floor to see the water in the harbour and an outside area for seating (shut as it was late), which made it a great place to hang out for a while.
It was relatively quiet when we were there with maybe a dozen others, but I can imagine it's a great place to hang out and socialise on a summers evening.

Giving this place a full score as they are not responsible for covid rules of fixed seating.
Very nice coctails (ok Norwegian priced and "high end"), very attentive bartenders and a very well defined bar menu including many inhouse variants (recommend the mango (I asked for some chilli in it), and the local Ice tea...
Felt welcome, even if they prioritized the groups.

I went there for some drinks with friends. We had to wait a long time for our drinks, and when we got our beers, there was lime on mine. Not the biggest issue, but when we told our waitress that im allergic to citrus, she got mad for us not telling them about allergies, even tho there were no information about beer coming with lime. When i got my other drink, we had the same waitress delivering, and after about 15 minutes she comes back to tell me that the drink im drinking also have lime in it, smiles and goes away. It didnt say in the menu that there were lime in the drink, and it feels extra bad when she knew that I am allergic, but still served the drink, and told me about the lime after half the drink was gone.

Great place if you like cocktails, they have beers as well but not many brands. Good view looking into the pier or out towards the sea.
I was there 2 times in my 3 days stay in Ålesund.
Perfect to come here after a nice dinner.

Very nice bar with friendly staff and good selection of the cocktails. Beautiful views from the windows are just amazing especially when ir is a sunset time!

We went to this bar on a very quiet Wednesday night in April. The place was empty; as we walked in, the bartender was clearly displeased to see a group of people walking in. When I finally managed to get a drink out of the bartender, I realised that there was practically no alcohol in the Mango Daiquiri I'd just spent a small fortune on. It was basically a fruit shake.
The bar itself has a fantastic location and looks great inside, but clearly the staff resent having to actually serve customers. It was so bad it was almost funny and an experience I will not forget for a long time.

A magical little place for a nice cocktail. I've been here once before and this was one of those great reasons we wanted to go back to Ålesund. The place is not that big but it has a very good atmosphere there. Sitting watching the boats come is just an experience. Nice bartenders and a tasty setting are amazing.

A must if you are looking for somewhere modern and unusual in Ålesund. Situated at the harbour front, the quirky glass floor with lighting offers a unique view of sea life under the bar.

A favourite hang-out for many locals. Great ambiance and skilled bartenders make this an ideal spot to have a pre og post dinner drink.

This is a nice place for an evening drink. The bar is literaly over harbour's water and you can enjoy sunset from the very large windows

Milk is the smartest bar we found is Alesund. It overlooks the harbour and if the sun is out, as it was when we visited, you also get to see a stunning sunset. There is a good selection of cocktails and wines, service was friendly and efficient. Milk is a bit expensive (even by Norwegian standards) but you get what you pay for.
