This is a Thai restaurant about a block or so off the main waterfront road.
Even though it was busy at dinner time we were seated quickly
As is typical of most Asian restaurants they had a very large menu
The service was reasonably fast.
The portions were decent sized for me. I had chicken stir fry. It was quite tasty
The prices were in line with the area
I would eat here again if I was in the area

We had a few days in Bergen and fancied some Thai food before joining our Hertigruten ship which serves authentic Norwegian food. This restaurant did the job nicely, good sized tasty portions, good service, very nice duck curry. Centrally located too. We booked for the evening during the afternoon of the same day (a Saturday in March 22) and we were glad we had as it seemed full.

Excellent dinner. As a starter very good spring rolls. For main dishes we chose curries and pad thai with chicken and noodles which were very good, excellent taste. On the menu dishes are written with meat, meaning that one can choose whether to be served with beef or chicken. Nice dessert vanille ice and fried bananas or with smalle fried pancakes. Friendly service. We will be back.

The shrimp still had sh*t in it, the shrimp/papaya salad was WAY too overpriced, containing 3 shrimps and cabbage, carrot, and plain rice. The vegetarian pad thai was served with iceberg lettuce and cauliflower?? Surprised they didnt think to use more thai vegetables. Did not resemble a pad thai at all.

We went for dinner around 8:00 PM and apparently this places close at 9:00 PM. We are vegetarians and it was difficult to work with the waiting staff to determine what could be made vegetarian and finally chose few entrees. The service felt very rushed, and it felt like whether we were truly invited as a customer or not.
The food was very good and enjoyed the food, but not with all the smiles! We were hungry, and just wanted to finish the dinner, so it was okay. This restaurant could earn higher points if they were to focus their Customer Service.

Ordered a Tom Yum soup with chicken. There was too much fish sauce that drowned out the flavor and vegetables that couldn't be chewed. I have tasted better Tom Yum soups, but in return it was a lot of food for the money.
The waiter was angry - despite the fact that there were only 3 other tables in the restaurant.
The coffee menu is not worth it either. They have bought a similar deLonghi coffee machine from Elkjøp and are selling it for NOK 50 a cup.
I think the restaurant has made some cuts that have gone beyond the quality. I won't be back.

This meal was the star of our trip. It was honestly that best restaurant food I've had in 11 years in Norway.
We ordered phad thai, phad prik kaeng daeng (vegetarian red curry), spring rolls, and a couple of other dishes, and everything was excellent. The spring rolls were fresh, the filling was very good, and there was just the right amount of rice paper around them. The red curry was one of the best I've had and the phad thai was the best I've ever had. I don't live in bergen, but will definitely make a point of returning to Siam Ratree the next time I am in Bergen.

Just two blocks off waterfront street, uphill at Hanseatic Museum corner... Truly a tier above most WestCoast USA Thai family restaurants. Very fresh and al-dente veggies, plenty of meat, flavorful sauces (but only two dishes tried = #15 and #21). #15 was labeled as "very spicy", but probably only a 3 1/2 of 5 in US heat system. Most main dishes 195 to 225 kroner; seems good value. Ice tea (they call it "orange tea") is as full of flavor of those Thai spices as any I've had - a dessert in its own right.

Every time I go to Bergen (once or twice a year) I have to enjoy dinner at Siam Ratree. The reason is very simple: Tasy food! But, also a nice price is a plus! My favorite dish here is Red curry chicken. I'll return next time in Bergen!

The restaurant is quite busy and staff is very friendly.
The Tom Yum has cream (other than coconut cream) in it, which I found unusual.
The spice level was a little too subtle but the staff was kind and provided extra Chili.
The portion is generous, however, not a lot of "vegetables" or protein. A pleasurable dish (dining experience).

We opted for the 149 NOK lunch menu (€12.50) and had a Chicken Pad Thai and a Chicken Satay with rice. Both were very tasty and above average. Great presentation, fast service and a nice welcome. Very good value for Bergen.

Between me and my wife we shared chicken satay, chicken red curry and chicken in holy basil sauce.
All three were extremely flavorful and at par with the food from the best Thai restaurants in the US. The prices were reasonable and service was quick with a smile.

It's been a few years since I was here last, and it was nice to have confirmation that Siam Ratree is still to be reckoned with. The menu is extensive, as in most Thai restaurants, and the food is of good quality. It must be noted that the seasoning is adapted to Nordics. The dessert selection is limited to three different ones, but perfectly fine. The service was good and very pleasant.
The drink selection, especially non-alcoholic, is very conservative. For those who do not want sweet soft drinks with their food, the only options are orange juice and apple juice in addition to water and non-alcoholic beer. In my view, this is too conservative.
The selection of wine is also limited, but 3 Italian reds from Valpolicella are offered in bottles, i.a. an Amarone. Of the whites, a Chablis and an Italian Chardonnay are offered in bottles. The Chablis is also offered by the glass. The prices of the wines are very moderate compared to Norwegian standards. Some more variety in the wine selection could be desired, and among the whites it might be an idea to offer a Gewurstraminer with spicy food.
Of course they have Thai beer.
I will probably come back.

I ate here yesterday with my partner and was extremely impressed. Not that I have had much Thai food before but this was all absolutely delicious and packed with flavour. We shared soring rolls to start which were lovely, and then I had the chicken thai green curry which was gorgeous - the perfect balance between spice and flavour! This place is well worth a visit!!

This restaurant was just 100 yards from our hotel and had good reviews so we thought we would give it a try. My wife is Thai and needed some spicy food after our long day's travel. We enjoyed it so much that we ate there again two nights later. Authentic and tasty dishes served by friendly staff at reasonable prices (by Norwegian standards). They also have a very reasonably priced lunch menu which we didn't try. If you fancy a Thai meal while in Bergen I would certainly recommend this one.
